I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I have some sad news to share...

If you follow me on Face book, you know that Joe is seriously ill....

It started around 3 weeks ago...

Long story short...

His blood sugars are out of control, we needed to start insulin which turned out to be a comedy of errors in trying to obtain both the medication and the supplies to administer it and monitor it...

And he is also experiencing ascites ( abdominal distention) most likely related to some degree of Liver, Renal and or Cardiac involvement....

 He has been extremely weak......

Luckily, our GI Dr. opened up his office on Friday which was his day off, to see us as he felt it was dire that Joe be examed by him....

We are waiting to have a paracentesis ( draining of the abdominal fluid) scheduled for this coming week, which he should feel much better afterward, then they will immediately scan his belly to see if they can find out what is going on in there....

It is a one day procedure and he should be able to go home afterward...

I need to keep busy so I hope to continue to Blog during these trying times and I would greatly appreciate your prayers for Joe and my family, especially my sons, as we all navigate through this together as a family....

Thanks you so much in advance!!

On the brighter side.....

My son Jim posted these cute pictures .....

" I went upstairs to take a shower 2 days ago and apparently the poor man’s Spiderman came to visit our girls. Not gonna lie, I’m a bit salty, jelly, and other food related emotion metaphors."

He is going to be such a FUN Dad!!

And I also want to wish our DIL Danielle a very Happy 42nd Birthday today ( the 23th)!!

We could not ask for a better DIL and we are so grateful that she was so determined to become a Mom and because of that, we became grandparents!!!

Happy Birthday, Danielle!!!!

I will start this post where I left off in the last one.......

In the corner across from the Hutch........

After taking the 7 ft. pencil thin Tree that I had in this corner here for Christmas and Valentine's back down to our storage shed, Joe brought this ugly plant stand back....

I put a glass table round on top to create a table!!

And then I covered it with a tablecloth and toppers.....

It also gives me some much needed storage underneath it!!

Hanging on the window divider between the Living Room and Dining Room are some signs that I embellished....

I bought this Tree many years ago for only $5 at Walmart after Christmas when it was marked down to 75 % off....

It pretty much is decorated the same as it was other years so I will let the pictures do the talking....

On the table under the Tree....

I then added a set of fairy sets.....

To the side of the Tree, on the marble topped stand next to the Tree....

The Bunnies were gifts from a friend.....

I placed the larger Bunny in a vintage milk glass compote bowl.....

On the shelf under the Home Interiors picture " May I Play".....

The bunny dishes were bought at The Christmas Tree Shop.....

In the corner by the Kitchen.....

I decorated the Funeral Basket that my friend Anne Marie gifted me with Easter florals and Bunnies which Anne Marie also gifted me.....

And Anne Marie also gifted me the rocking Bunny.....

The top of the Curio.....

I hung a vintage styled sign that I embellished from the vintage scales....

And another sign hanging on the faux window.....

On the cabinet that my Dad made to match Joe's grandmother's Dining Room furniture.....

I was gifted the Bearington Bear Easter Bunnies from a friend.....

In a vintage crystal compote bowl.....

I placed a bunny head inside of a pink mercury glass candleholder.....

And that is the end of my Tour of the Dining Room decorated for Easter for this year.....

In my next post on MONDAY, I will be starting the Tour of the Kitchen decorated for Easter!!!

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY!!
