Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS
I
enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and
commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have

And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
Since today is THURSDAY, I will share a bit of food that was served at my Young at Heart Senior Social Club October meeting......
We decorated for Halloween......
We served Hoagies..... Ham and Cheese, Turkey and Cheese and Italian without onion......
I took these pictures early on so I did not take the lids off the grapes and the potato salad....
A cookie tray from Sam's Club...
Afterward, some members brought a homemade pumpkin pie with freshly whipped whip cream and an apple cinnamon crumb cake.....
We had a decent turnout with over 25 members attending....
I say that because our Parish is still being used for the Catholic School that had a fire so we moved our meeting to Columbus Day and many of our members were watching grandchildren off from school that day......
Lucy, our secretery was kind enough to make up Treat bags for all who wanted them.....
One of our members, Bob, worked for several months developing a Trivia Game for all to play!!
It was so much fun!!
This is the winning Team, the Fab Four!!!
They received a $100 prize to split between them along with an additional $35 which came from the teams buying free spaces!!!
Rosemary, our treasurer, is giving them their prize money!!
I am happy to say that the Officers team, which was Rosemary, Rita, vice president and myself, president, came in 2nd place!!
Today, I am starting my tour of my Falloween Kitchen!!
I call it Falloween because the Kitchen is decorated in a mixture of both Fall and Halloween.....
Today, we are going to start with this wall area, which serves no purpose other than for me to decorate it for the different Seasons and Holidays......
I really enjoy decorating my Kitchen, especially the Hutch......
On the left side of the Hutch.....
I added both a bit of Fall and Halloween to this shelf that my Dad made for me many years ago out of scrap lumber he had......
New this year is the witch's broom, which I had in other places in the house before, hanging here....
Again, this year my Word of the Year is Intention so I am trying to decorate with Intention, meaning using what I have in different ways and shopping my own home first.....
The phone, which would still work if I had a landline, was my late neighbor Elly's.....
On the side of the shelf and Hutch....
The "Home Sweet Haunted Home" sign does light up.....
A sign I made from an unfinished Dollar Tree piece.....
My Kitchen Falloween Tree from the side.....
I wrapped 2 Dollar Tree leaf garlands around this Tree....
And also tucked in some leaf picks....
Dollar Tree owl yard stake, skeleton hands salad tongs and a bow made from Fall plaid ribbon and Halloween chevron ribbon , top this Tree.....
Along with some flower picks....
This Tree stays out year long and gets decorated for every Holiday and Season....
My Kitchen Hutch, which I made from a shelf from bedroom furniture bought at a flea market for $5 and a yard sale desk bought for $10.........
I then painted it red and white to match my Kitchen color theme , which is red, white and yellow....
I did change how I decorated this part of the Hutch this year....
You may remember these 2 Dollar Tree pictures.....
That I "dabbled" with.....
And this picture frame that I painted black and placed a Halloween paper plate inside of.....
I used the picture on top of the Hutch this year....
Along with goblets from Dollar Tree....
Funny how when you buy something, like the leaf bottles I bought at The Christmas Tree Shop many years ago, you can get locked into only displaying them as intended....
They had corks in them, which fell out when I was unpacking them this year, and the idea to use them as a vase popped into my head!!!
I made these several years ago......
I also used tombstones and black doilies bought in the Dollar bins at Michael's. which I do not know if they still have....
I made a bow for the center and hung a sign that my late husband Joe bought on clearance in Big Lot's many years ago.....
Top shelf.....
I bought the ghost, whose face is hiding behind the boot in this picture, at Ocean State Job Lot last year.....
I think it goes well with my new picture!!
On this side, I used a Fall plate and a pumpkin plate.....
Tombstone salt and pepper shakers and the pumpkin box that my friend Anne Marie gifted me....
Bottom shelf.....
On this side, another Fall and pumpkin plate....
The other side......
You can see I attached spiders to the yellow doilies.....
This year, I used black spider web place mats here.....
In the corner is a yard sale mason jar with a floral arrangement that I made....
Dollar Tree candles.....
My late husband Joe gifted me this handmade ceramic haunted house 48 years ago on for the 1st Halloween we were married.....
IA woman he worked with made ceramics and sold them.....
I added some Lemax tombstones and Dollar General skeletons to the display
Along with a few bones!!
In the corner is a floral arrangement I did in a "cat" mason jar....
I applied a few ghost stickers to the house....
I hung a Fall apron and Halloween pot holder on this side of the Hutch.....
I decorate under the desk area too!
" Eat, Drink and be Scary" sign hung on the drawer knob....

The mosaic hurricane shade was bought at The Christmas Tree Shop for $1!!
Gosh, I miss that place!!
A jar filled with candy corn....
A skull bottle filled with candy corn, flanked bt 2 Halloween signs.....
On the right side of the Hutch......
A bit of Fall and Halloween added to the other shelf that my Dad made for me......
I hung a Halloween tussie mussie that I made along with 2 ghosts I created from the antique styled hook and vintage broom.....
A Halloween rug....
A Fall floral arrangement in a copper can.....
I also changed up the shelf above the doorway to the Den this year....
I framed a calendar picture, which I placed on the shelf flanked by 2 scarecrows.....
Ornaments hung from the shelf.....
I had a lot of fun coming up with a new arrangement for this area this year....
I hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I did putting it all together....
And I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY for my next post which will include my Fall Family Get Together, since Saturday is the day I designated for sharing those type of events.....
I will also be sharing my Falloween Beverage Bar in the Kitchen....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
