I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

It's THURSDAY, so what have I eaten this week??

Well, my son Joey is on vacation in Pittsburgh so that means I have been on my won for Dinner.....

Tuesday, I enjoyed Pasta Roni Angel Hair with Herbs....

  Delicious and quick...

Today, I am finishing up my Falloween tour and will be sharing my Powder Room.....

A wreath I made on the door......

Spiders and cats on the wreath....

And a Dollar Tree sign......

I decorate the Powder Room in pink and black for Halloween as that is the "normal" color theme for the Powder Room.....

I switched out a few things for Halloween decor.....

Placed a crow on this shelf......

And also switched out a picture for this pumpkin I made....

The medicine cabinet with the light fixture off.....

Pumpkins on top ......

Black roses in silver mercury glass votives....

A Halloween chandy ornament hanging on the knob.....

A Dollar Tree sign....

I made the Creepy, Haunted and Ghoul signs....

A pumpkin hand soap dispenser with Boo written on it....

In the corner.....

The shelf unit above the toilet.....

A pumpkin I made....

Silver mercury owls on the bottom shelf.....

A Dollar Tree silver skull with a pumpkin I made out of toilet paper.....

I bought the silver acorns in Dollar Tree.....

I added several Halloween ornaments and a Dollar Tree skeleton bride sign....

The estagere.....

The top shelf.....

I switched out the pictures in the silver frames on the estagere.....

And added a few Halloween items...,

I bought this mirror in Michael's a few years back...

I also changed out the picture in this frame.....

The skull came fro Dollar Tree.....

And I made the potion bottle.....

Next to the estagere

I added a spider to the hand that is normally there....

And added a new potion bottle and a Dollar Tree bat tree....

On the bottom shelf is a silver mercury glass pumpkin in a vintage milk glass bowl....

This is on the wall in front of you when you walk into the Powder Room....

A Bat plate from Pier One on the shelf....

A skeleton groom and a cat I made hanging on the sconce....

I hung a Dollar Tree skeleton groom sign on the candle holder....

A black crow and pink pumpkins I embellished.....

And a skeleton bride and groom on the top of another shelf....

 On the top shelf....

I kept out the picture of a Victorian wedding to go along with the skeleton bride and groom theme...

I added another embellished pink pumpkin and a tombstone....

 Bottom shelf...

Another pink pumpkin being held by a silver skeleton hand...

On the other side of the shelf......

Another Pier One plate....

A skeleton bride and another cat hanging on this sconce...

Hanging above the closet that houses my washer and dryer.....

I attached a Dollar Tree spider web to a round silver Christmas wreath from Big Lot's...

And that is what my Powder Room looks like decorated for Halloween this year....

Right after Halloween, I will be changing this room over to Christmas , if not before depending on if I get company that weekend...

I already have all of the upstairs decorated for Christmas except for the Sitting Room , which I am working on this week....
