I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

Halloween Front Porch & Yard, 2026

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared how I did with my September monthly goals and what my goals are for October....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

It's MONDAY so what did I buy lately???

 Nothing too exciting from Walmart.....

 White and brown duct tape......

I have been stocking up on rechargeable batteries as I use so many.....

And the disc ones will work in several Dollar Tree candles and other items.....

IA few things from Dollar General.......

Halloween napkins for $1......

I needed a new spatula....

And a few more spiders...

Today, I will be sharing not only my Halloween Front Porch and Yard, but my next door neighbor Mehrukh's Fall Front Porch....

Mehrukh recently ordered furniture for her front porch because she said she wanted it to "look nice" like mine.....

She bought rugs at Ocean State Job Lot on my recommendation.....

I gifted her the 2 Fall signs and a wreath that I made....

And also the pumpkins on the table....

She is thrilled with how her porch now looks and so were her children Usef and Anaya!!

Okay, now moving on to my Halloween Front Porch....

Again, I leave the beautiful porch sign, that my great niece Caitlin created for me, out year round....

Most of my Halloween decorations are from Dollar General, Dollar Tree or I made them from things I already had...

I did do things a bit differently this year as I am trying to decorate with Intention, which is my Word of the Year.....

Needless to say, I left the leaf garland out....

I did pack away all of my Summer faux flowers I had on the Front Porch so I moved this terra cotta Jack O Lantern , that I bought at a church Flea Market, over here and placed it in this pot....

I still need to place a battery operated candle inside of it...

I left the topiary I made from a tomato cage out and added a Halloween bow and black tinsel garland to it....

The lighthouse I made from clay pots stays out all the time....

I made this a few years ago from faux pumpkins I already had.....

This year, I hung this sign that I bought in Gabes , above the door....

I added a Dollar Tree spider web in one corner and a large spider from Dollar General in the other corner....

An arrow that says "Giant Spider", more spiders and a few black skeletons were added on this side of the garland.....

I made this Halloween wreath a few years ago , using a skull wreath bought at Five Below....

And this year, I added a broom from my Kitchen as a witch's Broom.....

More spiders and skeletons on this side of the garland....

I switched out the Fall signs for Halloween ones.....

And did a different arrangement of them this year....

My late husband Joe bought this in Big Lot's on clearance a few years ago.....

I switched out a Fall bow for a Halloween bow and kept out the sign my great niece Cait made for me that matches the porch sign....

Joe also bought the "Oh Snap" sign on clearance and I bought the round sign next to it in Gabes....

I found this water jug tossed in the woods on the side of our road and made it into a Jack O Lantern...

A bony spider and a dancing pumpkin, also bought by Joe , sits on the table.....

You may remember the new ghosts I bought at Dollar General....

I hung a Dollar Tree bat from the flag pole....

 My Halloween porch flag......

In the corner of the porch.....

This year, I decided to hang the skeleton on the tree in the corner......

I moved this Jack O Lantern, that Joe bought in Wegman's for me, over to this table and added a spider skeleton to the garland above it....

And a bony foot on the table....

I did also did this area differently this year, adding the skull yard sign in the middle of the railing....

When I passed on the silver table top Tree that I had used in the past as my Dining Room Halloween Tree, I removed a black leaf garland from it and decided to add it to the leaf garland on the railing....

I changed out the Fall bows for Halloween ones I made....

Several years back, a faux pumpkin I had split in half so I decided to use it and create 2 Halloween decorations....

This is one half.....

In the center, I added a Dollar Tree chain to the garland, a tombstone and solar lights to the planter and a pair of skeleton hands.....

The planter is flanked by 2 faux pumpkins....

The other half of that pumpkin that split in half......

In this picture, you can see that I bought 2 new solar lights at Dollar Tree....

And added 2 owls that were gifted to me by a former neighbor...

On the side of the Front Porch.....

I changed out the cover for the mail box that holds some garden tools....

We have not experienced a frost yet so my coleus are still hanging in there....

The flower bed under the Living Room window.....

Usually by now, the hostas have turned yellow and I cut them back for the Winter so I can display the Halloween signs and skulls and hands in the pots but since the hostas are still looking good, I will wait to cut them back...

I did put the signs in the pots for now....

This year, for now, the skulls and hands are coming out of the flower bed....

The skull solar lights are from Dollar Tree.....

We are predicted to have morning low's in the low 30's this weekend so that will probably be the end for the coleus and impatiens....

The flower bed along the top of the slope in front of my house......

I took these pictures this morning after the rain from Isaias , about 2 inches here, stopped.....

I replaced the Fall mini flags with Halloween ones....

I was not going to use these tombstones from Dollar Tree but decided to do so.....

The park bench.....

The begonias are still hanging in there so for now, I kept them in the pot....

I did pull out all the marigolds that were chewed down to nothing by slugs.....

I placed a faux pumpkin in the one pot, added an owl and a Dollar Tree glass Jack O Lantern, with a solar light in it, to the bench....

2 ghost Solar Lights from Dollar Tree.....

Tombstones from Dollar Tree on each side of the park bench.....

Another Halloween mini flag.....

I packed the glass bird baths away and placed a terra cotta Jack O Lantern in this one .....

And I want to finish this post with a stunning Fall sunset from my front porch.......
