Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS
I
enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and
commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have
a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to
spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

In my last post, I shared my upstairs Bathroom, decorated for Christmas, over on my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas....
And a fairly large Christmas Haul.....
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
I was recently gifted 2 things that I want to share today.....
One of the members of my Senior Social Club asked if I would want 2 wood shelves that she no longer had the use for.....
I gladly took them.....
They were in good shape.....
I had been looking at pictures like these that are all over social media and pinterest and was thinking about looking for a shelf.....
Who would think that my friend would give me the exact same shelf ...
Now what are the chances......
And here is another one....
This one is a larger one.....
Now I will have to find somewhere to put them.....
This Sunday was my church's annual Trunk N Treat Halloween Bash where the Community Group, that I belong to, partners with the Laflin Recreation Board to host...
Through the gate in the above picture.....
The benches and the pavers and lily solar lights were a project done by a parishioner , who is a girl scout.....
The inside of the church is also decorated for Fall.....
A beautiful cornucopia......
I took these photos last week and this week, the mums are opening with beautiful yellow blooms....
This is the stained glass window in the back of the church.....
Next year will be the 50th anniversary of the opening of our church...
We will be planning a special celebration.....
The school that sustained a fire is still using our church until their school is repaired.....
The hall was cleared out of all the students things as it is used as 2 large classrooms and the cafeteria.....
The Rec Board members decorated the tables....
They came up with the idea of the Balloon centerpieces.....
Stations were set up for the kids....
Guess the weight of the pumpkin.....
Guess how many pieces of candy are in the jar....
Each kid received a pumpkin that they could decorate with stickers and markers.....
And Jack O Lantern Corn Hole....
There was a photo booth set up so my friends and I had our picture taken!!
Me, Suzy and Joann, my fellow members of the Community Group....
The Trunks.....
The Laflin Fire Department is directly across the street from the church and they always bring over one of the fire trucks....
This is Susan from the Front Porch Bake Shop who we partner with for baked goods for our Sunday monthly breakfasts and other occasions when we serve refreshments...
She is very generous and gives the church a 50% off discount!!
This was the Laflin Library's trunk , which is also across the street from the church....
We had a great turn out....

The DJ was great and had the kids participate in a Basketball contest....
And a Hula Hoop contest.....
My granddaughters were going to attend but poor little Gigi got sick with a GI bug and was not feeling too good that day so I told them to stay home.....
She is doing fine now and so far, no one else has come down with it.....
I also want to share some of the beautiful Fall foliage here in NEPA right in my development.....
Even though it is losing it's leaves, the tree in the yard across from me still looks lovely.....
About a week ago, I took a few pictures when the Sun was setting and shining on the tree across from me , illuminating it....
The side of the road.....
The woods on the other side of me....
Yesterday, I took some pictures in my development.....
You can see it will not be long before the leaves are all off the trees......
A tree in another yard by me....
And these were taken at the mall by me when I went to the Amish Farmer who sets up a stand every Friday....
It truly has been almost perfect weather here the last week and more wonderful weather is still predicted into next week.....
It has been cold in the mornings, in the 30's, so I have had to throw the heat on downstairs for about an hour or so to warm it up.....
But then it gets up close to 70 in the afternoons....
How has Fall been where you live???
I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY for my next post , which will be my Annual Falloween Home Tour.....
