I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared my Falloween Beverage Bar......

A Halloween tablescape.....

 And my Fall Family Celebration...

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

Today is MONDAY, so what have I bought recently???

I ordered a few things from Walmart online....

My son Joey and I love to watch Shark Tank and I have bought several of the items featured on that show in the past....

We saw an older show featuring The Cheese Chopper, which did not get a deal but is still in business.....

I was impressed by it since I buy a lot of cheese from the Amish Farmer who comes to the Mall parking lot every Friday right down the road from me....

Well, I found a similar product called The Cheese Cutter for $19.99.....

It comes with 3 blades and one can shred cheese....

The dial advances the cheese for slicing or shredding...

And there is an air tight cover for storing the cheese right inside of it....

You can watch a video on how it works HERE, even though it is for the Cheese Chopper and the boxes are almost identical........

I also ordered this silicone rubber spatula set......

I needed some new ones and these were only $9.89 for all 5 in the set!!

And since I use a LOT of these batteries for all my votive candles, I stocked up.....

Again, you do not need a membership to get FREE shipping from Walmart as long as you order over $35 of Walmart shipped merchandise!!!

Today, I am continuing my tour of the Kitchen decorated for Falloween!!

We will start here to the right of the doorway out to the Den, which used to be an enclosed patio.....

 Dollar Tree signs.....

On the side of the stove....

My grater planter....

I hung a Fall mini outdoor flag on a magnetic curtain rod.....

I placed some Fall flowers, a battery operated lighted branch and leaves in the yellow milk can that belonged to my late neighbor Elly....

 Above the stove...

A Dollar Tree sign and a Halloween pot holder....

Crocheted magnets which I made about 40 years ago.....

More pot holders and Dollar Tree signs hanging above the stove....

Fall and Halloween towels....

On the cabinet door.....

 An embellished Dollar Tree sign.....

The small counter space between the stove and the sink....

The cute doggie ghost salt and pepper shakers I recently bought.....

Where my Kitchen window used to be before we removed it when we made an enclosed patio into another room, the Den.....

I still treat it like a window.....

I added a Fall swag above the "Friends and Family Gather Here" sign.....

I made the valance out of a tablecloth...

On the right side....

I made the ornaments hanging from the tea cup chandy, I also made....

I glued 2 Dollar Tree ornaments together.....

I took a Dollar Tree 3 tiered sign, that says "Home Sweet Home" ,apart and hung Home on the left side of the chandy from the valance rod, the Sweet on the chandy and the other Home on the right side....

More Dollar Tree signs hanging on the right side of the cabinets....

I forgot to put new batteries in the puck lights .....

 On the window sill......

The shutters, with glass inserts, were my neighbor Elly's.....

 On the left side.....

You may remember that I was lucky to find these 4 pumpkins that were vintage inspired at Dollar Tree...

I have not seen them in a Dollar Tree here since then which was in early August.....

The Scarecrow hat was made from a play construction cone bought at Dollar Tree.....

And you know where I got the signs from, don't you????

 Dollar Tree!!

I placed a pumpkin in the wire tea cup planter and added a few sunflowers to the berry candle ring....

I switched out a sign for a copper mold leaf.....

In a previous post, I shared my Falloween Beverage Bar......

I did not talk about the cabinets above it in that post....

I bought all the copper molds on the soffit over many years at yard sales, flea markets and estate sales and who knew they would be back in style again!!!

A Dollar Tree sign that I embellished.....

I hung a wreath that I made and pot holders with wood plaques over them....

And I am going to finish up the Kitchen in this post and share the counter bar I designed and had a friend build for me.....

I needed more counter space and storage....

On the left side is my vintage laundry display....

 I hung a scarecrow there.....

The large Halloween Cone was gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

The garland is done a bit differently......

I did add a Fall leaf garland to the evergreen one that serves as a base year round along with the plaid ribbon bows I made and a pumpkin garland......

I also added the new acorn and pom pom garland that I recently bought.....

And hung wood acorns on each side of the Gallery sign, that I bought at a yard sale held by Red Lobster when they were remodeling, for $5!!

This year I used a handmade runner that I was gifted to me by the owner, Trish, of the house next door..

When her Mom passed away, she passed on to me several runners her Mom had made and I love the Fall leaves on this one....

I added black spider wed place mats on each side of the counter bar....

I placed the pumpkin mugs that I bought in Big Lot's with an embellished Dollar Tree pumpkin in them on top of the red mercury glass candle holders....

A Fall bowl filled with cough drops....
