I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS
I
enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and
commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have
a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to
spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

In my last post, I shared how I decorated the China Cupboard and surrounding area in the Den for Winter...
The 3rd Tree in the Den decorated For Winter....
Along with Nelson Crest.....

I want to Thank Jennifer, over at Studio 57-by Jennifer Adams, for
choosing my post, Rearranging my Family Gallery Wall, as one of her features from last week's
Wednesday's in the Studio Link Party...
Thanks so much, Jennifer!!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely NEW party!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
This past Saturday, I bought a Price Chopper pizza for $10.99, which already had sausage on it, and I added mushrooms to it...
Great buy for $10.99
I am continuing my Stock Up Plan in anticipation of the proposed tariffs which will raise prices on just about everything...
My freezer is stocked with items that I buy in bulk including chicken...
Price Chopper had a sale on split chicken breasts...Buy One , Get One Free...saving me $18!
I then cut up the chicken breasts and divide it into meals......gave me 7 meals for Joey and I...
I buy hamburg in a 5 pound log from a local store and divide that up into 1 pound packages...
I also bought family packs of eye roast steaks containing 6 pieces...I divided it up into packages of 2 as I do not eat it but Joey does....3 meals out of that...
I am also stocked up on paper goods...
One of the tips that Joe gave me before he passed away was to buy paper towels and toilet paper at Price Chopper when they have their sale of $14.99 each when you buy 2 and you will get 600 bonus points, which turn into cash taken off your bill...
I also stocked up on Puffs and laundry detergent....
Another thing I stocked up on was batteries as I use a lot for all my candles and other lighting...
Boscov's had packs of 20 for only $2.99 a piece with a limit of 5 each which I bought in both AA and AAA...
I also put in an order from Sam's Club , stocking up on over the counter medication which is also predicted to rise in price with tariffs...
I ordered cough medicine, pain meds, nasal spray, my supplements like calcuiim, Vit D, cranberry capsules, sinus medication, probiotics, etc....
This is also all part of my Winter Financial Plan which I will feature in another post....
Streaming services are predicted to rise and we have already seen that with Netflix...
Gas prices are also rising now....
If you would like to read more about why Americans are stocking up, please click
HERE...
On Tuesday, I made Joey 2 eye roast steaks for dinner and since I do not care for steak, I decided to make myself some talpia, which I bought for $7.99 a bag.....
You get about 4-5 pieces of fish which are individually wrapped....
I pour melted butter over them and then season them with onion powder, pepper and paprika....
Bake them for 10 minutes at 425 degrees....
Delicious!!
I also buy bags of haddock by the same company and I can sometimes get them for only $4.99 a bag...
Winter is definitely here in NEPA....
It was minus 9 degrees here....the coldest temperature in 10 years....
But it will be getting more seasonal in a few days....
I hope all of you are staying warm.....
Change over the Powder Room to Winter/Valentine's - FINISHED!
I removed anything that was Christmas related and added a few Valentine's Snow Buddies and decor.....
I hung a Valentine's heart that I made above the door.....
When you first walk in, to the left.......
How it looked for Christmas.....
Now.....
I swapped out the lighted tree for a red bottle brush tree....
I added a Valentine's bow to the bottom of the plate to disguise the Christmas saying on it as I like the Winter scene....
I hung a glove ornament on the handle of the medicine cabinet....
And added a penguin soap dispenser and ornament, that Joe had bought, and framed a Christmas card with a Winter scene on it , using a frame from Dollar Tree....
I left the framed cards from Christmas up.....
I changed out a few things on this shelf....
I added another red bottle brush tree.....
And red reindeer.....
Under the shelf....
A Valentine's Snow Buddy titled "The Queen of Everything".....
Joe had bought it for me.....
How the Tree looked for Christmas.....
Now.....
I removed all the ornaments that had to do with Christmas and replaced them with small red and silver heart ones.....
Along with some blue and white toile hearts....
On the shelves under the Tree......
Next to the estagere on a 3 tiered shelf.....
An Avon pitcher filled with greenery and red roses.....
Snowmen and a heart box...
On the side of the wall shelf.....
I added red roses to the smaller shelves and hung a silver heart from it....
Another glove ornament....
I left out the silver mercury lighted trees and the Winter slate...
The tea pot from Avon that matches the pitcher....
I changed up what was on this wall shelf and used red paper doily hearts for a pop of color........
2 Valentine's Snow Buddies, red reindeer and Snow Buddies sleigh riding....
A silver mercury glass heart and 3 more Valentine's Snow Buddies....
On the other side of the wall shelf....
I left the framed card where it was.....
Above the closet that houses my washer and dryer....
The Powder Room will stay this way now until the beginning of March as February is Heart Month...
As will all my Winter/Valentine's decorations....
I do not celebrate Valentine's Day but Valentine's in the month of February, Heart Month, as my Dad died from a massive heart attack caused by familial Heart Disease....
No hurry to change over to Easter as Easter is late this year, on April 20th....
I hope you enjoyed seeing the changes I made to change the Powder Room over to Winter/Valentine's....
I am currently changing over the Kitchen to Winter with a touch of Valentine's and will be sharing that with you next week....
