And now for a few Personal Notes...
I woke up this morning to about an inch of snow with the huge storm moving East staying to the South of us....
Winter has come to NEPA and looks like it will be with us for a long time....
After just having a week where we did not get out o the 20's for a high temp. for the day, this is a Winter like we used to have when I was a child before Climate Change started to affect us...
Sending Prayers for all those in California who are affected by these horrific Fires....
BUT prayers will not help these poor people to rebuild....

Today, I am going to share my Family Gallery Wall
I only display family pictures on the wall of my very narrow hallway that leads from the Living Room to the Powder Room and Kitchen....
Sorry, I forgot to put the light on but that really would not have helped much....
I have called it my Wall of Fame or maybe Shame in the past.....
For Christmas, my son Jim and DIL Danielle gifted me a picture of my Twin granddaughter's first trip to see Santa to have their picture taken....
Thank Goodness they took a better picture than their Dad and Uncle Joey did.....
For 2 years in a row no less...
I gave up after that.....
I call them my Screamin' Meamie pictures.....
Jim and Danielle also gifted me these pictures that they had taken of the Twins in J.C. Penney's for their 1st birthday....
Gigi
In addition to these that they posted on Face Book....
Gigi
Lily
Lily on the left and Gigi on the right.....
I bought the frames in Michael's......
Adding these framed pictures to my Gallery Wall led me to have to re-do the whole wall....
It is hard to take great pictures in this dark and narrow hall but here goes...
I am going to start by the Kitchen and work my way to the Living Room......
This is what I call my son Joey's side of the wall......
Joey's High School Graduation pictures....
A picture taken at my late nephew John and niece Renae's Wedding.....
Joey was in the wedding party...
Joey's High School Graduation pictures and 6 month baby pictures....
On the left is a picture taken when the boys were in Day Care.....
Pictures Joe and I had taken for a Parish Album at our church.....
We were married for 30 years then.....
The picture on the left was taken at Caesar's in Atlantic City when we took the boys to their first concert, The Moody Blues....
Joey's graduation from college.....
Pictures from a trip that Joe, Jim, Joey and Danielle took to Washington, D.C. to see the War Memorials...
I would have never been able to do all that walking before I had my Knee Replacement surgery done so I did not go plus it was my weekend to work.....
Our Wedding picture....
The picture under our Wedding picture was taken as part of the package from our Parish pictures....
This is my son Jim's side of the wall......
Jim's 6 month baby picture and his High School Graduation pictures......
A family picture taken for a Christmas card.....
And our charming Cassie.....
With a chew stick in her mouth...
Where I hung the pictures of the Twins....
I wanted to keep this new family's pictures together.....
Jim and Danielle's Wedding picture....
And my grand pups, Azumi and Faye.....
I hung them to the left of the Twins One Year Birthday pictures....
Our engagement picture.....
Our sweet Savanna......
Notice all my pup's pictures are sort of together.....
Jim's High School Graduation pictures...
The picture of Joe and I was taken at Caesar's in Atlantic City......
Santa and Easter Bunny pictures....
The middle picture of the boys on the haystack was taken at the Bloomsburg Fair which is the largest here in Pa..
I hung the Twin's Santa picture under their Dad's and Uncle Joey's.....
A picture of my great nieces, Cortney, Caitlin and Carly
The Twin's first Santa picture...
It took me about 3 hours to clean the frames and hang some of the pictures in new places on the wall.....
Even though Joe is gone, there are 46 + years represented on this one wall....
I am happy with how it turned out.....
Honestly, I still have not started to take down Christmas as it has just been too cold to open that attic door to get tubs down.....
And I am still enjoying it all.....
And since Easter is late this year, April 20th, I plan on leaving my Valentine's Decorations up for all of February, which is Heart Month....
So there will be no need to hurry to take it all down to decorate for Easter in March.....
I do plan to start changing over the Den from Christmas to Winter today as it may hit 30 degrees....
A Heat Wave but only for 3 days and then we will see high temps. only in the 20's again....
In my next post on MONDAY, I will be sharing some of my January Goals that I have already completed.....
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY...
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

ReplyDeleteHi Deb..your gallery wall looks great! I've done the same thing in 2 hallways. Yours look a little more organized though! I enjoy looking at my memories!
ReplyDeleteHugs...Barb
Your family wall is lovely and so personal. And now you have (relatively) new family to add to it -- certainly darling new photos!
ReplyDeleteA most lovely wall of memories, thanks for sharing. I’m always inspired when I visit here.
ReplyDeleteBest to you, stay warm! Virginia
Your gallery wall is wonderful, such memories. We even have a frame that is the same, the gold one with numerous photos in it. I use mine to display wedding photos of our oldest daughter. I need to clean the frame in mine, getting a bit grungy in the corners. One of the latest things I added to my wall was a crossword using the names of the girls, husbands and their children. I used old Scrabble tiles and it turned out lovely. I'll check to see if I have a photo of it on my website. We had snow overnight, needed to get the snow blower out for the driveway this morning, but now it is lovely and sunny and the temperature has risen to 0 Celsius, which is 32 F for you. After several really frigid days it is lovely to pop outside while it is milder. Enjoy the weekend.
