I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, which was a Rudolph's Day post over on my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas, I shared how I remained credit card debt FREE this past Christmas and my Financial Plan for Christmas 2025

I also shared a few, and I do mean a few, New After Christmas Buys

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

  UPDATE:

Not long after I posted this post, I got a call from my dear friend Anne Marie's husband Tony....

That God took my dear friend, Anne Marie, home to Heaven on Sunday......

Heaven gained another Angel....

She put up a good fight but it was a fight that she could not win....

Please Click HERE to read about the secret I was keeping, respecting her privacy, since last June....

This was one last gut punch that the year 2024 had to get in....

I am continuing my Stock Up Plan in anticipation of the proposed tariffs which will raise prices on just about everything...

I placed an order to Sam's Club stocking up on some over the counter medication, especially nasal spray and Tylenol Sinus medication...

And all my flavored Creamers!!

576 creamers.....

I believe this should last me about 7 months....

Today, I will be starting my Tour of the Kitchen decorated for Winter....

I am continuing my slow change over from Christmas to Winter/Valentine's...

This is what this wall looked like for Christmas....

I will be starting where I usually do...with this wall that serves no purpose except for me to decorate it........

I always say this is the focal point of my Kitchen....

On the left side of the hutch....

I added a small red cardinal to this shelf....

I switched out the Christmas apron, that hung here, with a Valentine's one...

On the chalkboard that a co worker gave to me....

A vintage Lefton red cardinal pitcher....

On the left side of the hutch above the Tree....

The star, hanging on the side of the hutch, was gifted to me by my nieces....

And I made the snowman sign....

I decorate this Tree with birds, primarily red cardinals, for Winter....

I hung a red cardinal above the Tree.....

I topped it off with a bow made from a red plaid and a red cardinal ribbon....

I tucked some red berries, a snowflake and a bird into the top of the Tree....

I also used bird houses.....

Red hearts....

Crocheted snowflakes.....

And I tucked white buffalo snow into the Tree....

The hutch is decorated for Winter too....

 The top of the hutch......

I decorated it with snowmen, penguin plates  and a Hot Chocolate Station sign....

I made the snowmen out of cans...

I hung a bow I made in the center along with some red bells.......

Red snowflake ornaments, that I bought on clearance in Dollar General, were hung on the sides and middle of the hutch....

I use the Holiday Harlequin dishes, that Joe bought in Wegman's a few years ago, to decorate the shelves of the hutch for Winter.....

Top Shelf....

 The bottom shelf.....

The bottom half of the hutch....

I decorated the desk area with red cardinals.....

A lantern with red cardinals on it....

A red cardinal tea set that Joe bought in Wegman's....

Along with a mini red cardinal tea set....

I bought the quilted place mat with birds on it at the now closed Country Folks Gift Shop....

Another lantern with cardinals on it....

I like to decorate under the desk area too....

A Valentine's heart hangs from the drawer knob...

I placed a red place mat with a white snow flake on it over the vintage metal picnic basket...

A tea pot with birds on it was a church flea market find.......

I made the snowmen out of clay pots....

The snowman cutting board was a gift from my nieces....

To the right of the hutch....

Another Valentine's apron on this side...

And another red cardinal on the other shelf that my Dad made...

I hung hearts from the shelf above the doorway to the Den...

 The side of the stove....

I placed a Winter floral arrangement in the grater planter....

And hung a towel with pine cones on it from the bottom....

Valentine's towels hang on the side of the stove....

I tucked a Winter floral bush into the vintage Planter's Peanuts can that holds my rolling pin and masher collection...

And this is where I will leave off for today....

In my next post on THURSDAY, I will continue sharing how I decorated the Kitchen for Winter with a touch of Valentine's...

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY.....

  5. Oh, how I wish I could visit and see this in person. I love the way the black and white check contrasts with the bright red. Love all the Cardinals and the Valentines. Everything is just perfection. I would love to see what you store it all in. I went all out in my kitchen until about 3 years ago and then just ran out of space to keep everything. My husband was never a big fan. Anyway. Love the desk and all the snowmen. And the the soft candlelight. Just precious.
