I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

In my last post, I shared how I decorated my little corner of the Den in a Winter Woodland theme....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

One of my goals for this year is to cook more and try new recipes....

On Thursday, I decided to make this Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole....

I used chicken breasts that I cut up into small cubes and crumbled bacon from Sam's Club....

 It was delicious!!

My son Joey had 2 bowls....

I split what was left and froze half and will have the other half when I make steak for Joey as I do not like steak....

This one is definitely a Keeper.....

Click HERE if you are interested in the recipe.....

I want to shout out a huge THANK YOU to Rainbow Jewelers, Kingston, Pa. for finding a Ring Holder Necklace for me so I can wear Joe's Wedding Ring...

I had been looking for ways for me to wear Joe's wedding ring and found a few Ring Holder Necklaces online...

Always wanting to support local Businesses, I reached out to Rainbow Jeweler's ( a family owned local business) , asking them if they carried anything like the ones that I saw on Amazon...

They messaged me back, telling me that they did not routinely stock anything like it, but sent me these pictures of one they could order for me to look at, under no obligation...  ...

I was happy that I could see it in person before purchasing it, which was way less expensive than those listed on Amazon....

I always find that to be the case which is why I do not even have an Amazon Account...

 I LOVE how it looks....

And that the chain is longer so I can wear it with other necklaces...

Also that the ring is locked into the heart and not simply placed over the holder like the others that I saw....

I feel the ring is more secure.....

I think it is just perfect!

I hate taking Selfies but here is how it looks on me....

You can also see my new glasses in these pictures better......

I took this one with my phone and not my new camera.....

Like I said, not good at taking Selfies....

One of the last things that Joe told me before we left for the hospital that last time was where his wedding ring was as he was not wearing it because it was too loose because of all the weight that he lost....

I think he would be thrilled that I will be wearing it for him....

I was going to finish up my Tour of the Den decorated for Winter today but since I had a few other things to share, I will be breaking up the Tour into 3 parts....

We are having the coldest Winter here in NEPA since 2017, with the coldest temperatures so far this Season predicted for this coming week.......

We have only had 2 days above 32 degrees this January so far...

And we are expecting Snow tomorrow on Sunday....

4-5 inches are predicted right now where I live but that could always change...

And with temps. in the teens as highs, that snow is not going to melt any time soon...

And because of all of this, I have been enjoying my Winter decorating as it really does feel like Winter here in NEPA!!

Officials are watching our Susquehanna River as Ice Jams are building up on the river....

I drove over the river the other day and it is something to see....

It also has been a long time since this happened....

Today, I will be sharing 2 Trees decorated in the Den for Winter....

We last left off here by the back door.....

To the left of the door is this 4 1/2 ft. Tree that I placed on an end table for Christmas....

I now have it decorated for Winter....

If you follow me on FB, you already know that I had a bit of a mishap with this Tree...

Somehow, I got tangled up in the tree skirt and the Tree fell over to the right, still decorated for Christmas...

As I attempted to stop it from falling, I lost my balance and went down on my knee!

Not the operative one, thank goodness!!

I did not get hurt...

This Tree is over 20+ years old and still has a plastic stand....

In past years, I have even "Trimmed" it, making it "Slimmer" by cutting one to two inches off the lower half of the Tree so it did not stick out from the end table....

So, I am on the hunt for a new Tree to use on this table for next year...

One with a sturdier metal tree stand and a slimmer one...

In my upcoming post for January's Rudolph Day on the 25th which is next SATURDAY, I will be sharing the Tree that I did buy...

So I hope you will visit my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas, next SATURDAY.....

Now, let's take a look at how I decorated this old Tree for Winter....

I topped it off with some picks that remind me of ice, pheasant feathers and a star with a bird on it that I bought in Gabes about 7-8 years ago as I have a Winter Bird theme going on in this room....

The bow and streamers is made out of a burlap ribbon that has gold threads running through it...

I added a set of Icicle lights and an icicle like garland to it....

I decorated it with snowmen.....

Ski ornaments that Joe bought for 90% off last year on Clearance....

Deer head ornaments....

Winter theme dome ornaments....

Lots of clear acrylic snowflakes and icicles...

Gold glittered pine cone ornaments..

And snowball ornaments....

I changed out the tree skirt for an ivory one that I bought at a church flea market....

And I set up a small Winter village underneath the Tree...

I bought these putz like house ornaments at Sears many years ago....

On the ottoman on the right side of the Tree....

Some snowmen from my late neighbor Elly's snowman collection....

I hung large snowflake ornaments from Penney's on the burgundy lace valances.....

I replaced the Christmas Carol figures from Christmas...

With white Winter birds on these shelves...

And a cute Winter figurine....

Over on top of the computer armiore.....

I packed away the Nativity set that I had here for Christmas.....

And replaced it with a Winter vignette....

I used the second plate, that I bought at Hobby Lobby, for a mere 50 cents ( down from $12.99) because it had a chip on the left side

Here in this vignette.....

I placed a few different types of trees around it, hiding the chip....

I made the music sheet trees and the 3 felt trees in different colors were bought on clearance in Bed, Bath and Beyond by Joe 2 years ago....

The cloche was bought in Target many years ago...

I took this tree out of the Living Rom where it was part of the Christmas display on top of the TV Entertainment Center

Along with this reindeer piece out of the Dining Room, where it was used for Christmas....

This deer cloche was bought at Big Lot's a few years back....

I am so hoping that one of our 2 area Big Lot's will be among those that will be reopened under the new owner's....

I found this hanging Tree in my late neighbor Elly's attic when I cleaned out her home for her sons after she passed away...

I decorated it with owls from Dollar Tree,,,,,

Snow balls, pine cones and icicles...

On the vintage ash tray that I use as a stand.....

I bought the penguin in Boscov's and added a tree from Gabes and the lighted birch tree that I bought in Kohl's many years ago....

And this is where I will leave off for today....

A few pictures taken in the Evening.....

In my next post on MONDAY, I will be picking up where we left off.....

And will be sharing Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, decorated for Winter...

Along with the china cupboard.....

And one more Winter Tree!!
