DEBBIE-DABBLE BLOG: Easter Tree and Bunny Land in the Living Room, 2026

I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

Easter Tree and Bunny Land in the Living Room, 2026

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

Since it is THURSDAY, what have I been eating.....

Really not much new to highlight here today....

At the Young at Heart Senior Social Club meeting, I ordered hoagies from a local small grocery store, known for it great prices on Deli meats, Malacari's

They sell 3 kinds of "Grab N Go" hoagies for only $3.99!!

I cut them in half, which was more than enough for our members for lunch as you can see that they have quite a good amount of meat on them....

And you can not beat that price!!

I made Barna Balls for dinner the other night for my son Joey and I....

Which is a combination of Porcupines and Piggies without the cabbage...

We had mashed potatoes with them and used some of the sauce over the potatoes....

I also made an old stand by but I do not put broccoli in it....

15 Minute Chicken Rice

I forgot to take a picture of it so I am using the one from the Minute Rice web site...

I shred the chicken, add Chicken Spice Seasoning and sometimes, I add a can or 2 of mushroom stems...

I have also started to use one can of Cream of Chicken and one of Cream of Mushroom soup....

And this will be the last week for my Church's Potato Pancake Sales on Friday during Lent.....

We have enjoyed these for 4 weeks now!!

Today, I am continuing my tour of the Living Room decorated for Easter/Spring....

In this post, I will be sharing my 7 ft. slim Seasonal Tree....

I stripped it down and added 2 sets of pink LED lights which actually look purple when lit.....

I then added pink beaded garland....

I topped off the Tree with a bow made from different ribbons.....

And an egg yard stake and florals that resemble grass....

I bought these florals to add to those that I have tucked into the Tree in previous years....

I do like the way they drape down.....

I decorated it with ornaments that I have amassed over quite a few years.....

With the lights off....

And now with the lights turned on.....

I decorated the platform that it stands on also for Easter.....

This is what I call Bunny Land!!

On the left side of the Tree....

I placed a yard stake in a vase.....

I bought this pretty Bunny at a church flea market.....

The Easter tins on each side of the Easter basket, which is my childhood Easter basket, were bought at Michael's at 90% off and I did the floral arrangements inside of them.....

The pink Bunny and purple egg, which is a coin bank, were also mine as a child.....

I bought the glass eggs in Big Lot's, again for 90% off and inserted a set of fairy lights inside to light them up....

This year, I decided to move my childhood Easter basket back under the Tree as I had it somewhere else last year...

The egg light set no longer works so I wrapped a set of fairy lights around the handle....

This winking Bunny on an egg was made by my MIL in ceramics class over 40 years ago and gifted to me one Easter......

I bought the chocolate Bunnies at a church flea market....

I bought the vintage styled eggs in Tuesday Mornings....

Since it is purple, I placed this gift that my son Jim and DIL Danielle gave me for Christmas....

On gold mirrored tray along with a few eggs.....

To the right side of the Tree....

I bought this sweet gentleman at a church flea market and the smaller Bunnies were bought at Dollar Tree....

The other tin with a floral arrangement and the other lighted egg.....

And a pink egg and purple Bunny that were mine as a child....

I leave this white ceramic tree out year round.....

I bought this egg topiary in Dollar Tree last year and even though there are a ton of pictures all over Pinterest showing many, many ways to decorate these, I went with a simple bow and a pair of Bunny ears....

In the evening....

I also wanted to share this wall in the Living Room....

I did change the drapes over on my faux window to Spring/ Summer ones that I bought several years ago in Dollar General.....

I used one pair to make the valances and also a few envelope pillow covers.....

From my Fall/ Winter ones...

What a difference changing the colors of the drapes make.....

I painted the paneled faux brick wall almost 2 years ago.....

I am thinking of adding a bit of gray to the "bricks" before I decorate for the Patriotic Summer Holidays.....

On the left side of the faux window......

I changed out the gold cherubs that I had in the wall curio and the shelf for Victorian Ladies.....

I embellished these Easter signs from Dollar Tree and Big Lot's.....

A Bunny wreath I made quite a few years ago.....

A macrame cross that my mother bought from a co-worker of hers and gifted to me over 40+ years ago......

I also changed the drapes and curtains on the Living Room window over from the Fall/Winter ones, which are identical to the ones on the faux window but I also used ivory lace curtains with them for Winter........

To the aqua drapes and peach lace curtains, which will be pulled back when the air conditioner goes in the Living Room window.....

I hung a Spring sign from the valance rod....

And this is where I will be leaving off for today!!
