I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

Since I posted last SATURDAY,  I have had a very busy week....

On Sunday, March 8th, I helped out with the monthly Sunday breakfast after the 9 am Mass at my church....

I forgot to take pictures so this is from last month's....

Later that day, I attended the last performance of the Wilkes Barre Area Wolfpack Player's Fiddler on the Roof with 20 members, friends and families of the Young at Heart Senior Social Club of which I m President...

This was the first time I was seeing the brand new high school that combined 3 Wilkes Barre School District High Schools on a huge complex that was built on reclaimed mining property....

What was once an ugly reminder of NEPA's Coal Mine History is now an incredible School Complex!!!

The State of the Art High School....

The football and other sports fields...

 WOWZA!

I now know what my tax dollars are paying for and I am so sad that my sons did not get to go to shcool in this amazing new school.....

 The auditorium was spectacular!!

Large, heavily padded comfy seats!!

My friend and treasurer of our Senior Club, Rosemary ( in the green) got us wonderful seats where we would not have to crawl over anyone to get out....

Rosemary's Son is the Principal of the school.....

The play was amazing and none of us could believe that such a professional production was put on by high school students!!!

These are a few pictures from the Wolfpack Players site as phones were required to be turned off during the performance...

Our priest, Father Alex and our Dorector of Religious Education, Michele, also attended with members of our Youth Group to support

The Senor Social Group, that I am President of, held it's monthly meeting on Wednesday, the 11th!

We served Hoagies from a local place, Malacari's.....

I ordered 18 hoagies , 3 different kinds, and cut them in half....

We do cupcakes to celebrate the members who have a Birthday that month...

I brought grapes for anyone who is a diabetic....

And the kolachi's were left over from the church breakfast...

The membership decided to start the meetings now at 12:30pm so they could come and sign in and pay the $5 er meeting fee which we use to buy lunch for the next meeting....

They can then sign up for the various activities planned and take advantage of any handouts....

Grab a bite to eat and something to drink....

And mingle....

Have now have 31 members and many were in attendance....

Our Speaker was Nancy, the Librarian of the local library which is located in the Borough Building across the street from the church campus....

She spoke about all this small town library has to offer including a book club....

At our April meeting, we will be doing chair Yoga!!!

On Friday evening, the Diocese of Scranton, which my son Joey works for, hosted a Parish Night Out with the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins, at discounted prices...

Joey and I attended the game at our Arena, which is right down the street from me......

I finally got to meet Joey's Boss and Work Mom, Connie, after 5 years since he started working for the Diocese...

It is only the 2nd game that I have gone to since Joe passed away, as I could not bring myself to go to any the first year....

Joe was a season ticket holder for 25 years....

Needless to say, I had a busy week....

But I still managed to take down and pack away all Winter/Heart Month decorations, change over all curtains, drapes and linens, clean and polish furniture and re-decorate the Living Room for Easter/Spring...

It did take me 7 days when it usually only takes me 5-6 days but like I said, it was a busy week!

Today, I will be continuing my tour of the Living Room and will be sharing the TV Entertainment Center....

I like to treat the top of it like a "Mantel" of a fireplace as I have no room to put one in the Living Room....

I am going to show everything first without the lights on as it shows up better....

I stripped down the garland, removing the flocked garland, that I used for Christmas and Winter...

I keep the evergreen garland base up year round and add to it to decorate for different Seasons and Holidays....

I added a purple hyacinth garland from Dollar Tree to it....

Along with hanging greenery and bows made from purple and aqua deco mesh ribbon on each side....

A few years ago, I made Bunny Butts.....

I also made Bunny Paws....

I added some of them to the garland...

I also added 2 egg garlands....

I really did not change up much of anything on the top of the TV Entertainment Center from last year...

The right side....

I bought both these Bunnies at a church flea market....

Easter bottle brush trees....

I moved the gold tinsel Tree down from upstairs where I had it as part of my Christmas decorations....

And decorated it with Angels,,,,

I topped it with a bow that matches the other bows I used in the Living Room including the bows on the 4ft. and 7 ft. Trees in the Living Room....

I added an Easter  egg light set and ornaments to the Tree....

I made this Bunny out of a Pringles can.....

More Bunnies on the other side....

I just love this You Tube Bunny Screen Saver for the TV....

So pretty!!

On the shelves....

Egg boxes that I embellished....

My late friend Anne Marie gifted me those sweet gold Bunnies....

Gifts from my son Jim and DIL Danielle....

On the chest in front....

I made the Bunnies several years ago out of dish towels....

I stuffed carrot bags from Dollar Tree and then embellished them....

And also embellished this Bunny sign that joe bought for 90% off one year in Big Lots....

I am very happy with how it looks this year...

Especially how it all looks in the evening with the lights on....

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated this area for Easter this year.....
