I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I am having a terrible time trying to comment on some Blog posts... The ones where you can comment by logging into Google, using a URL and Name or commenting Anonymously will not allow me to comment at all on some blogs!!
If anyone knows why this is happening, PLEASE let me know what I can do to stop this...It is happening on both of my computers...
If you are having a hard time commenting on my blog, please email me and let me know
I am thinking about changing my comment section to a pop box as that seems to be working okay on different blogs.....
I will be returning comments here on my Blog to those bloggers that I can not leave a comment on their blogs.....So sorry this is happening!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Hockey is still in Pre Season and we attended a special Stem Student Pre Season Game on Wednesday morning as we are Season Ticket Holders for the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins and the arena is 5 minutes down the road from us....

Tons of schools from around the area were there.....

There were various booths set up around the arena concourse with info and games for the students to participate in.....

This one is one that our local library set up.....

I was thrilled to see that our friend Joe S. , who is also a former patient of mine several times, is still working as an usher....

He is going to be 97 years old!!!

It was warm and very humid that day so my eyes are slits in my face as my eyelids are swollen....

Hashimoto's....UGH!

We also ran into my niece Renae , who is a para professional with the school district in which she lives....

She was there with the little 5th grader that she is in charge of while at school.....

Sorry but I was not allowed to take a picture of her but she is sweet and gave Joe and I both hugs!!

Joe took these picture..... so sorry they are blurry....

It is hard to believe that this is the 25th year for our arena....

 Warm ups.....

First drop of the puck on home ice for the Season....

Tux was making the rounds and the kids loved him....

All the kids around us and Tux comes and sits by Joe....

LMAO!

The look on Joe's face is priceless!!

Later that evening, we saw we were on the Sports News on one of our local TV stations!!!

With a sea of kids behind us!!!

Of course, I would have my camera in my hands....

There was a lot of great energy in the arena that day with all the kids who were thrilled to be there!!

And the Pens won 3 to 0 over the Hershey Bears, our arch rivals!!!

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the Powder Room for Halloween....

Again, since many of you have questioned where I will be putting all the new things that I recently bought and made, I will be pointing them out.....

After seeing a lot of pink and black Halloween decorations on a Shop with Me You Tube video, I decided to add more decorations in the Powder Room this year...

After posting a few pictures on face book, someone commented that it was Victorian Goth in Pink and Black for Halloween...

I loved that!!

Hanging on the door....

I made this wreath quite a few years ago.....

I added some pink florals to it this year.....

A nice refresh....

I have been searching our Dollar Tree stores for an oval sign I saw in a Shop with Me video of a Skull with pink roses around it to no avail....

It is not even on their web site...

Joe picked me up a Day of the Dead sign in it's place until I can find it......

If I ever can.....

Maybe next year.....

To the left of the door is the sink area when you walk into the Powder Room......

I bought this half black pumpkin many years ago in Micheal's.....

I decorated it with lace and ribbon flowers.....

You may remember that I made these out of unfinished wood plaques I found in my craft stash....

I added some bones and a skull....

On top of the medicine cabinet.....

A few pumpkins....

On the side of the medicine cabinet......

I added 2 silver leaves, from another sign that had faded from being outside, to this Dollar Tree sign...

And here are those 2 other plaques that I made...

I bought this "Boo" soap dispenser recently in Gabes...

It was $5 but I had a $5 off $25 coupon from Gabes....

A wall shelf above the toilet....

In the top shelf.....

A ruffled pumpkin that I made last year....

On the bottom shelf.....

2 silver mercury glass owls.....

I recently bought new towels in J.C. Penney's....

I also bought this a few weeks ago in Dollar Tree Plus for $3.....

I placed a pumpkin that I made from a roll of toilet paper inside of it.....

I thought that would be fitting on top of the toilet!!

The silver acorns are also from Dollar Tree, bought a few years ago....

In the corner.....

I hung another Dollar Tree sign over the tole tray.....

Along with a few ornaments...

On the estagere.......

On the top shelf.....

I replaced my Victorian Ladies in Hats pictures in the silver frames with ones that are slightly more spooky....

I bought this mirror in Big Lot's last year.....

On this shelf......

Another picture in a silver frame.....

A Trick or Treat Sign bought in Dollar General for $1.....

Next to the estagere on a 3 tiered shelf.....

I placed a spider made into a ring on this ceramic hand...

On the bottom of the shelf, a silver mercury glass pumpkin......

Another wall shelf ....

On the left side of this wall shelf, are 2 small Home Interiors shelves........

A plate bought in Pier One a long time ago and a skeleton ornament....

And black metal sconces hanging below them that I hung black cat ornaments that I made on with owl ornaments at the bottom of them........

On the right side of the shelf, is another Pier One plate with another skeleton.....

And another sconce....

On top of this wall shelf....

A skeleton Bride and Groom....

And Dollar Tree pink pumpkins that I embellished.....

On this shelf are 2 bottles that I bought in the beginning of the Season in Dollar Tree....

I added trim around the top of the bottles along with some bones....

On this shelf are pumpkins that I painted pink and embellished about 10 years ago....

Below the shelf is a plaque that I taped another picture that I ran off to....

O tips and cotton balls are kept in the sugar and creamer...

Above the closet where the washer and dryer is....

A very old Dollar Tree spider web....

I made just a few changes his year but I sure enjoyed doing so!!

And I hope you enjoyed seeing what I did differently.....

I have not done a post on how the Powder Room looks normally during the Spring/Summer decorated in a Victorian theme since 2021 but if you would like to see that post from 2021, please click HERE!!!!

In my next post on MONDAY, I will be taking you into my Falloween Kitchen...

I have both Fall and Halloween decorations in there...

I will be starting the Tour of my Kitchen with my Tree and Hutch which has a few changes this year...

  2. I had the comment issue myself for a while. I have no solution and don't know how it got fixed. All the sudden I could comment again. I am no help.
I love how you made pink and black spooky! Your bathroom is adorable and I am taking note of some of your ideas. I wish I had seen those flasks at Dollar Tree. I will be on the look out sooner next year. Yes, I finished my cabinet. Although today I have to move some things to higher ground while the four year olds were running wild.
My parents were season ticket hockey fans. Your pictures bring back memories.
