Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

If you would like to Pin my pictures, please click on them to enlarge them to do so....
A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS
I
enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and
commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have
a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to
spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

In my last post, I shared how I decorated the Front Yard for Fall....
A paint project.....

How the front of my house looks lit up in the evening....

And a beautiful Sunset....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!
My Goals are more of a To Do List for each Month and Season of the year....
This is a month where I had little that I could think of that needs to be done around the house as far as Seasonal work...
We actually had a somewhat cooler August than expected...
August was another month that I needed to give myself a bit of Grace.....
My Family used to celebrate several Birthdays and Wedding Anniversaries in August....
Now,
a month that was filled with so much Joy and Happiness, is now filled
with sorrow, heartbreak and memories as we mark those dates along with
the dates of the passing of too many of our loved ones.....
You can read about it HERE.....
And then to op it all off, on August 19th, I found my dear neighbor and a good friend to my late husband Joe and me, dead in his home....
This sort of stopped me in my tracks for about a good week.......
I was also still recovering from an IBS episode brought on by a GI virus I caught in mid July....

I am back to my normal now....
These are not excuses but just stating facts.....
So let's take a look at how I did with my August Goals....
Clean all my curio's..... NOPE!
Bake zucchini and banana bread to freeze for the Winter.....
I did bake manage to some banana bread and froze it....
Deep clean my Bedroom and reorganize it.....NOPE!!
Go through all my CD's and decide what to keep and what to donate.....NOPE!!
Go through all my DVD's and decide what to keep and what to donate....NOPE!!
Watch My Mom Jayne by Mariska Hargitay - NOPE!
Watch Barbara Walters..Tell Me Everything - NOPE!
BUT I did watch the entire Season 1 of Dexter Resurection....
I also started watching The Money Heist on Netflix , which I am still watching and little did I know that the song Bella Ciao, would be associated with the events of this past week...
I did say that I was sure I would be adding a few more things to this list in the future....
And cleaned all the pictures on the Gallery Walls on both sides of the steps.....
I carried over decorating the Kitchen for Early Fall in my Sunflower and Apple theme from July....
I also started another project that I have not posted about yet as it is not finished.....
I started to go through and reorganize the Storage Room in my house....
I managed to finish going through everything on the top shelves of the room but still need to go through everything on the bottom half of the room which includes a lot of tools and other things related to tools...
After a little over a year since Joe's passing, I pretty much know what I will be using and what I will not be using and will be offering up those things that I do not need to some of my neighbors prior to donating them to either Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity....
And also in August, my son Joey and I had a wonderful time at my church, Saint Maria Goretti's Cash Bingo!
We honored Joe by donating a game in his memory....
Because August 12th would have been our 47th Wedding Anniversary and August 17th would have been Joe's 71st Birthday....
So I guess I did not do too badly after all in August, all things considered.....
I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY for my next post....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

I definitely agree with you that all things considered you did really well with your goals.
ReplyDeleteWow - you really had a hard month! So sorry about your neighbor and you not feeling well. Considering the tough month you did great on your goals. Your decorations and yard look beautiful - you really have a knack. Inspired by your goals...making a to do list for next month since we just came home from traveling and are still recovering from time change and lack of sleep. Take care of yourself !
