I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared what I call a Tea Table in the Dining Room and a few other vignettes....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Well, it is time to make my List of Goals for the Summer/3rd Quarter of the year....

This was the brain child of Leslie, over at Once Upon a Time & Happily Ever After

Each Blogger involved will do a blog post about what those Goals and items on their Bucket Lists are quarterly, doing a follow up to those posts, along with hosting a party for everyone else to join in on....

I thought this was a great idea because I think listing Goals that you want to accomplish in a certain smaller period of time is a lot easier and more doable...

My Goals are more of a To Do List for each Season....

And I do so love my To Do Lists....

I need to keep myself focused and my To Do Lists definitely help to keep me moving and on track so I am now back into making out a weekly list that includes a list for each day of the week...

I already shared how I did in April and again in May....

I know there are a few things that I will not get to check off my June Monthly Goals List so I will be adding those tasks to both July and August....

POSSIBILITIES

Christie, over at So What? Now What?, decided to call her Bucket List a Possibilities List and I loved that terminology so I am also going with a Possibilities List!!

POSSIBILITIES LIST for 2025

This list is more of a year long list...

I have posted this quote before....

This in itself is a great Possibilities List

But I have been focusing on the last statement...

I HOPE to buy LESS...

Can't guarantee Buying Nothing

And I feel that for the 1st and 2nd Quarter, I have done pretty well with this...

I have bought what I really needed and bought almost NO decor items, except for a few garden things and a whole bunch of faux flowers to make the hot and humid Summer months a lot easier for me.......

I did buy quite a bit of faux flowers for the front and back yard, cutting back the amount of annuals I usually buy and have to replace every year...

I also bought a few things to make my life easier as a widowed homeowner....

I bought this product for cleaning up small messes, especially in a car, which was mainly what I wanted it for.......

And I bought this cordless blower for cleaning up all the leaves in the Spring and Fall in the yard and also for light snow that could be blown off the sidewalk.....

I also bought this corless trimmer to keep my shrubs and trees looking good, saving me the pain in my hands from doing it by hand like I did last year.....

I bought this beautiful hand carved nativity set at a special sale of times from the Holy Land at my church....

This will be passed down to my granddaughters...

I have bought a few other things but I am saving those for a separate Haul post....

I have also been buying in bulk when it comes to groceries and food....

All of that falls in line with my new Financial Plan

Work on my Financial Plan for next Winter - Yes, I have been working on this and it is going quite well

I did get rid of my landline phone, saving me $35 on my cable bill

I also signed up for the monthly Budget program for my Electric bill so I will have the same payment every month of the year....

I have actually been contributing extra money into my Christmas Club so that when it is automatically deposited into my checking acct. in October, I will have enough money for all Christmas and Birthday gifts ( I have 4 Birthdays in December), all Holiday and Birthday meals  along with my municipal taxes and HOA yearly dues that are due in March!

I finally got my income tax return straightened out as I ran into having to switch to a new Tax preparer who had to file for an extension....

I received way more in a tax return then I expected, as I was hoping to break out even, and on top of that, he also applied for the PA Senior Property Tax/Rent Rebate for me....

I was not even thinking of applying for this as I thought that because my husband Joe was alive and receiving his Social Security and pension until the middle of April in 2024, that I would not qualify for it...

I just made it in qualifying and will be receiving $380 back from what I paid in my property taxes for 2024...

I will qualify for this every year and he will take care of it for me when preparing my tax returns!!

I was able to place enough money from my tax return into an acct. so I will be able to pay my school taxes in August!!

I also listed that I HOPE to Make Something

Meaning that I want to craft something that I may have seen in the stores, using up some of my vast craft supplies...

I really have not had much time for crafting because of all the Seasonal work I had to do in the house and in my yard during the Spring Quarter...

BUT I do realize that in the Summer months is when I have extra time sand am stuck in the house with the air conditioning so I really want to do a lot of crafting during this 3rd Quarter to decrease my craft supplies in the Craft Room

I also HOPE to Shop my own House

I was inspired to do more of this by watching some You Tube Videos where decorators are doing this and using everyday items to decorate with..

And I am proud to say that I actually have been doing this in trying to incorporate every day things I have in my seasonal decorating instead of running out and buying something new!!

I have also been experimenting with using items I have in different ways to change things up a bit...

 More Possibilities....

Spend LESS time on Face book- need to work on this better but I have started to limit my FB time

Spend MORE time reading Blog posts- doing better but still need to work on this

Respond to Blog comments quicker- again, need to work on this but I think I am doing better with this

Watch MORE You Tube decorating Videos- I have been doing so as many of the TV shows I watch have ended their Seasons...

Listen to some Podcasts- NOPE, never started......Oh, well

Find time to read- NOPE, HOPE to do so soon and plan to schedule at least an hour a day to read now that I will have more time in the Summer months

Socialize more...

Reconnect with a few old friends and meet for lunch or invite over- crazy weather during the 1st quarter  and  2nd Quarter really prevented this from happening, along with all the work that I had to do with the changing of the Seasons but I HOPE to do so in the Summer months...

I have scheduled my late friend Anne Marie's husband to visit for a lasagna dinner at the end of June..

And I am thinking of having my sister come for afternoon Tea...

Be in contact more, whether through messages, texts, phone calls or visits with more family members- working on that....

One new thing is that I have become involved with starting up a new Senior Social Group at my church....

We already had our first meeting with 25 people in attendance....

Work on my Christmas Planner for all Holidays and Seasons - On going as I am turning this into a Holiday Planner and hope to use it year round and not just for Christmas

Being more Mindful of how I am spending my time and doing things with Intention...

 Because.....

And I do not want to waste any of my time!!

Well, there you have it!!

I do so HOPE that this 3rd Summer Quarter will be a good one and I can accomplish everything that I need and want to do....

And I do HOPE to continue to....

And to

I think so far, I am doing pretty good with that...

I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY for my next post....
