Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

If you would like to Pin my pictures, please click on them to enlarge them to do so....
A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS
I
enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and
commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have
a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to
spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

In my last post, I shared how I decorated my Kitchen Hutch for Late Summer/ Early Fall with Apples and Sunflowers...

Click HERE if you missed that post!!
Andrea was kind enough to write these sweet words on her post......
"Debbie
is always transporting us some place magical in her home… well today we
are going Under The Sea and yes the theme song to the Little Mermaid is
now playing in your head. Enjoy!"
Thanks once again, Andrea!!
Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
After several days with no rain, which was a rarity for this Summer, I got almost 3 inches of rain in just 2 downpours!!
One of which occurred this morning.....
A view of the Sunrise with rain clouds from my front porch at about 5:30 am
You can see the shadow of the VA Hospital, on the left. at the top of the hill by the entrance into my townhouse development.....
It looks like Fall in my back yard with all the leaves that were knocked down by the wind and the rain....
At least I will not have to water for a few days!!!
We are supposed to have a cool down next week!!
I can not wait!!!!
Today, I will be finishing up my tour of the Kitchen decorated for Late Summer/Early Fall using Apples and Sunflowers....
I will also be showcasing a lot of my vintage Kitchen wares.....
In my last post, I shared this wall which I call the focal wall of my Kitchen....
It serves no purpose other than for decoration.....
But before I go any further, I like to hang a valance between the Kitchen and the Hallway because of the changes in colors....
I made this valance from the Sunflower cafe curtain that I cut and hung on the counter bar.......
I then added a fringed trim to it.....
I hung 2 apples that I made from the rod.....
On the left side of the Hutch, which is decorated with Apples and Sunflowers and has more of a Baking theme......

About 45+ years ago, I asked my Dad to make shelves for this wall.....

He made them out of scrap wood that he had and I painted them red.....
Copper molds that I bought at yard sales and church flea markets hang on this wall along with all the other walls in my Kitchen....
2 years ago, I hit pay dirt at a local church flea market with this set of 5 for only $1!!

I have had copper in my Kitchen for over 35+ years and I am thrilled that copper is making such a huge comeback......

Love this one with the roses....
A few vintage items are displayed on the shelf......
I bought this vintage canister set at a yard sale......
I also bought the scale and the martini shaker, which I display spaghetti in, at yard sales....

The vintage glass cookie jar was my late neighbor Elly's and the antique meat grinder belonged to one of my MIL's neighbors.....
A vintage apron and a cinnamon scented broom hang on a hook to the left.....
This reproduction wall phone actually would work if I still had a landline.....
It was my late neighbor Elly's.....
A side view of my Seasonal Kitchen Tree.....
On the left side of the Tree is a chalkboard that was given to me by a former co-worker and friend......

My late friend Anne Marie gifted me the "Baking Spirits Bright" sign.....

A vintage styled Gold Metal Flour Tin on top of a vintage loaf pan filled with some wooden Apples....

On the side of the shelf......

A new Dollar Tree sign that I recently bought....
Hanging on the side of the Hutch is another gift from Anne Marie that I embellished.....

In the Spring, after I packed away my Kitchen Easter decor,I decided to leave out this Tree all year round, making it another Seasonal Tree...
For the Early Summer, I simply decorated it with red and yellow roses......

Several years ago when I decided to bring this Tree back out for Late Summer. I made all of the decorations for it....

I made these apple ornaments using felt that I had in my stash and hand stitched them together.........
I wanted to make a few more apple themed ornaments so I made these.....
I bought these in Dollar Tree as Joe thought they looked like Apples even though they are pumpkins......
So I made them into Apple ornaments....
I also made these which I used in other places throughout the Kitchen....

Two years ago, I made these Apple core ornaments......
.JPG)
I decorated the Tree first with this rope garland bought at Dollar Tree..........
Added all the ornaments I made and then tucked a few Sunflowers in to fill the Tree out.....

I made the bow from red ribbon I had and tucked a few more Sunflowers into the top of the Tree....

I placed the Tree in an antique crock......
On the side of the Tree are milk bottles, from a local diary that is
still in operation, that I painted the insides of so they would look
like there was milk in them....
Standing up inside another vintage loaf pan is a wood mason jar sign....
Since I already shared the Hutch in a previous post......
We'll move to the other side of the Hutch....
The other shelf that my Dad made....

More Vintage Kitchen ware....
Love this copper mold with a tea pot on it....
A rare patterned Antique McCoy green Yellow Ware bowl, valued at roughly $275- $300, filled with wooden Apples....
Vintage Johnny Walker Match Box....
A Mr. Peanut Bank and a reproduction Roasted Nuts tin.....
Did you know Planter's Peanuts was founded right here In Wilkes Barre, Pa?????.
"Planters Peanuts was founded in 1906 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, by Italian immigrant Amedeo Obici and his business partner Mario Peruzzi. The company, originally named the Planters Peanut Company, later became the Planters Nut and Chocolate Company. A key aspect of Planters' branding is Mr. Peanut, the iconic mascot, whose design originated from a contest won by a young schoolboy named Antonio Gentile "
When my late husband Joe worked for American Silk Mills, a co worker's son was Mr. Peanut as there was still a store in Downtown Wilkes Barre at that time over 35 years ago.....
Another vintage canister set and a "Drips" container.....
The vintage sifter was my Mother's.....
Another vintage apron and cinnamon scented broom......
I hung this copper measuring set under the shelf......
Both of the shelves that my Dad made for me!!
I used a magnetic strip to display some vintage Kitchen utensils I bought over the years at yard sales and flea markets.........
Below the chair rail that Joe and I installed .......
A Dollar Tree sign that I recently bought.....
Hanging on a reproduction antique hook is a vintage rug beater that was my neighbor Elly's and an embroidery hoop I made from an Apple tea towel.....
A vintage Sunflower iron door stop.....

The shelf above the door way to the Den.....

I made the birdhouses hung on the fretwork....
Leaf ornaments are hung on each side of the Home Interiors shelf.....
I bought the pie plate one Christmas in Dollar General.....
I placed wood Apples on top of the Vaseline Glass tumblers....

And this ends my tour of the Kitchen now decorated for Late Summer/ Early Fall in Apples and Sunflowers.....

It will stay like this until mid September when I decorate the Kitchen for Falloween!!
I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY for my next post when I will be showcasing a few more vintage Kitchen items in my Kitchen......
