I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared how I did on my Monthly Goals for July...

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I have been feeling pretty good lately...

I did go to my family Dr. on Monday but since I am feeling better, they think that it was a virus that kicked my IBS in.

Nothing abnormal on manual palpation of my abdomen...

And since I have an appointment already scheduled with my Gastroenterologist for next week, it was felt to let him take over and do whatever testing he feels I may need...

I agree with this ....

I also started keeping a Food Diary so I can see what foods cause me GI distress...

Today, I am going to finish up my tour of the Living Room decorated in my " Under the Sea" theme for late Summer......

We will start at the front door.....

I hung a seahorse that I bought unfinished in Dollar Tree last year....

This is how I finished it....

Joe's Grandmother's Hutch.....

I did already share how I styled it for the Summer.....

Click HERE if you missed that post....

The lanterns on the steps....

I wrapped an aqua ribbon around the candles in the lanterns....

Added shells to the inside and a bow I made out of aqua and peach ribbon....

A starfish the I embellished....

The other side of the steps....

A wreath that I made.....

I bought this lighted anchor in Big Lot's a few years back....

On the steps....

An apothecary jar filled with shells....

I made this out of one of those glass blocks a few years ago.....

Another apothecary jar.....

I decorate this chair for every Season and Holiday....

The Starfish Story....

Shells and starfish that I embellished....

The lanterns under the chair....

You may remember that I used this mailbox cover on the "Beach" under my Seasonal Tree in the Living Room....

I decided to cut it in half since the one side was facing the tree collar anyway.....

I then cut it in two and taped each section to the back of the lanterns.....

Two more candles and shells inside of both lanterns.....

My lighted birch branch Tree.....

I decorated it with aqua butterflies and dragonflies that my late husband Joe bought on clearance in Big Lot's one year after Christmas....

At the base of the Tree....

I bought these cemetery candles in Dollar Tree and wrapped them with some white and aqua deco mesh ribbon.....

More shells....

A lighthouse hangs above the curio...

And that completes my tour of the Living Room decorated for late Summer....

I hope you enjoyed seeing my "Under the Sea" decorations for this year....

The Living Room will stay this way until after Labor Day when I will then change it over to my Autumn Elegance theme for the Fall....

And I hope you will stop by to visit again on  SATURDAY for my next post....
