I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

Last Year's Easter Decorations!!

   Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I can't believe how much I missed being able to decorate for Easter this year!!!

A few months ago, someone asked me if I thought I was going to cut back on decorating for every Holiday and Season like I do when I retire.....

I had to think about it, not knowing exactly how I would feel about it.....

But after this, I definitely will continue to decorate for all the Holidays and Seasons.....

It brings change to the way my home looks and freshens things up a bit....

Makes everything look different and exciting ( at least to me).....

Now as I get older, I may cut back a bit but I do not ever see me not doing it unless I physically can not...

I thought I would share a few Glimpses of last Easter with you as we enter Easter week......

I am going to let the pictures do the talking.......

The Living Room......

The hall way........
The Dining Room.....

In the Kitchen.....
And even in the Powder Room!!!!!
My Knee Replacement surgery is now 2 weeks away and this week, I will be attending Joint Class, having my pre-op testing done and meeting with the anesthesia department and having a pre-op physical done.....

I am looking forward to having this surgery done because for the past 6 years, I have had to curtail a lot of my physical activity which meant giving up doing a lot of things that I enjoyed doing...

I hope to be able to start walking for exercise again like I used to.....

I used to walk 5 miles every morning when I would get home from work but that was a very long time ago....

A walk down the street would be nice.....

In my next post, I will be sharing what I did get to decorate for Easter this year....

Nelson Crest!!!

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  2. Enjoyed sharing your last year's decorations. I always know where to come for a holiday "fix" and you didn't disappoint with this review. Hoping your surgery goes well and you are back on your feet real soon. I used to walk 3 miles before work every other day and I miss it. Thinking it's something I need to get back to also.

  3. I can't imagine you giving up the decorating altogether; nope. You enjoy it too much and it certainly shows. Hopefully after your surgery all will be well and you can enjoy your life more. I haven't done any Easter decorating either so you're not alone. Have a lovely week and Happy Easter! Hugs!

  6. Dear DEbbie, you are the Queen of the Four Season decor, dear friend ! Amazing and all is beautiful. I can spend hours looking at your post like a magazine !
I'm sure after your surgery, which will be all well, you will get the itch to do some decorating.
Your dollhouse is my fav, I had one when I was a child, so this brings back memories.
    Happy Easter sweet lady.

  7. I love decorating for holidays, too, and I'm glad you have these pictures to go back to when you're not able to get a lot of decorating done this year. I hope your knee surgery will make a world of difference. I think it will--everyone I know who has had one loves it. :) Thanks for sharing at #heartandsoullinkup
