I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
I posted this in 2019 but today, I am linking up to the If I Had a Tea cup Link Party!!!
Today, I will be sharing a little project that I recently did.....
But first, I want to Thank Charlene, over at A Pinch of Joy, from featuring my post, An "Elegant Lady" Powder Room, from last week's Busy Monday Linky Party!!
Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!
I also want to Thank Kris, over at Junk Chic Cottage, for being so kind to gift me these sweet carrots!!
Look at how pretty they are packaged!!
I saw a post that Kris did about her past Easter Decorations and commented that I loved those carrots and would have to get some for next year.....
She offered to send me some because as she said the carrots are worse than Bunnies and multiply around her house every year!!
I love them!!
Even though I will not be decorating for Easter this year, i will be doing a little vignette with these darling carrots!!
Thanks again, Kris!!
Now that I FINALLY have all the Holiday and Seasonal decor packed away and up the attic, I am having a bit of fun and doing some crafting!!!
I was putting together my Summer "Treat" Tree up in my Craft Room and decided that I would "dabble" a bit with some of the tea cups that I normally use as ornaments on this Tree....
These cups have lost their saucers because of my clumsiness so I decided to make them feel special by dressing them up a bit.....
This cup has a marking that says "Germany" on the bottom of it.....
Love the flowers on it......
I did not want to buy anything new because I have a huge stash of craft supplies so I checked to see what I had in my stash and found 4 birds and 2 little nests that were bought at Dollar Tree a few years back......
I first glued some green sphagnum moss in to the cup along with the nest......
I found colored eggs, also bought at Dollar Tree, in with my Easter crafting supplies and chose to use pink and green eggs as that is the color theme in my craft room......
I glued the eggs into the nest and then glued the bird on to the outside of the cup......
And here it is on the Tree in my Craft Room!!!
Perfect for a Tree decorated for Summer!!!!
The next tea cup was part of a Vintage tea set with 4 cups and saucers, a tea pot, sugar bowl and creamer.......
The tea pot has "Japan" marked on the bottom of it
I did the same thing with this tea cup......
And here is this one on the Tree......
I bought 5 of these tea cups at a yard sale........
I loved the design on them......
I think they were actually from a dinnerware set......
I had used up the 2 bird's nests that I had left so I decided to just use the sphagnum moss and the colored eggs........
Since this was a larger cup, I decided to glue the bird to the inside of the cup instead of to the outside of the cup.....
I made up 2 of these since I only had 2 more birds left.......
And here they both are on my Tree.......
This was a simple little craft project using things that I already had.........
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I made Bird's Nest Tea Cups!!!
In my next post, I will be sharing my Summer "Treat" Tree in my Craft Room......
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hi Debbie, how sweet to receive the carrots from Kris. This is one of the reasons why I like the blogging community and how sweet and giving some of them are. I love the teacup birds nests you made, They look perfect for Easter decorating.

I don't decorate trees for any season other than Christmas, but your cute bird-nests-in-tea cups idea could be used in so many ways! Have a lovely spring,

Perfect season for birds nests!
ReplyDeleteLoved your teacups and your tree! I have used glass punch cups for Christmas ornaments with a bottle brush tree, "snow" and a Christmas figure. I have "married" teacups without saucers to saucers with a plain gold edge sometimes, but I love creative uses of lone cups! Will have to look at my lone cups through different lens now! Glad you are getting some crafting in. I bet your friends will get some lovely homemade gifts this year!
