Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

In my last post, I shared I decorated a new Tree, that I had bought for the Den after Christmas last year on Clearance, for Winter....
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
What Have I Bought or Been Gifted Lately?
On THURSDAY, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAY, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...
So since today is Monday, let's get started.....
Gifts
I
got a big surprise as my next door neighbor Mehrukh came over with
a Christmas present for me!!
Now bare in mind that they do not
celebrate Christmas as they are Muslim...
She was back home in NY for
about a week around New Year's...
I was thrilled with this beautiful gift
of a Michael Kors cross body bag as I do not have a purse like this and
was thinking of purchasing a cross body bag...
Speaking of my neighbor's, we got 2.5 inches of snow on Saturday and this is Yusef and Anaya enjoying the shovels that I gave them....
So cute!!
I ordered these lamps from J.C. Penney's after seeing that they were on Clearance when they popped up on my FB feed....
Original price was $160!!!
85% off and an additional 15% off brought them down to......
WAIT FIR IT.......
$17.74 for the pair!!!!!!
I will show you where I used them in a future post...
My paper shredder finally died after 20 years, I think!!
So I ordered this one from Walmart....
And to make the $39 required for FREE shipping without a membership, I ordered a new Iron as my current one's electrical cord was a bit jacked up....
I have used both and am very pleased with them, especially the iron , which is light weight and turns off when it is standing still for some time....
Due to the discussion on the importance of preventing Dehydration in Senior Citizens at my last Seniors Social Club meeting, I had to buy this water tumbler that I found in Dollar Tree....
This holds 64 oz., which is the recommended amount of water you should drink daily...
Eight 8 oz. glasses....
I love the prompts on the bottle too!!!
I did have a smaller version that I had to fill up twice during the day...
I also want to share some Blue Hour Photos from snow that they all predicted would miss us on Sunday, in addition to the half inch that they predicted we would get on Saturday that turned into 2.5 inches of snow!!!
" The blue hour is the period of twilight at dawn or dusk when the sun is below the horizon.
20-30 minutes right after sunset and right before sunrise, the indirect
light takes on a blue shade that is different from the blue of the sky
during a clear day."
Yes, I got about 4 inches of snow that no one seemed to predict for the weekend!!
Today, I am continuing my tour of the Den decorated for Winter....
The last area of this room I want to share in the China Cupboard and the area around it...
A former neighbor asked me if I wanted this before she threw it out and of course I said, YES!!!!
I painted it and did an antiquing treatment on it to match other furniture pieces that I did the same treatment on in the room.....
Now I have also kept out some of my Christmas decor to use for Winter....
This is what it looked like for Christmas..
Like my Ice House and Church.....
The light post......
Actually the only thing here on the top that I added for Winter is the ironstone pitcher with a tree painted on it, found at a church flea market, and the evergreen tree that I placed inside of it....
I removed the Christmas floral candle rings from the candlesticks...
I left out my Thomas Kinkade houses and church....
I moved this lighted Angel here from the place it was for Christmas......
I did change up a few things around the China Cupboard....
I took down the Christmas decor on the sides.....
I hung a set of bells, a snowman and mitten ornament...
I switched out the tree on this small table....
And I added a few more putz like houses.....
I left the Snow Village, inside of the China Cupboard, the same as it was for Christmas....
I did add a few more hand made snowflakes, that I bought at a church flea market, to the vintage scarves on each shelf....
I switched out a Christmas wreath on this side for a Dollar Tree wreath with Snowmen hanging in the center and from the bottom of it....
Also left the vintage suitcases in front the same as for Christmas....
I placed the lid of a jar candle, that has a cute pup on it along with the saying "Warm and Cozy", inside the handle of one of the suitcases...
My Winter Bird Tree...
This is how I decorated it for Christmas, using all Thomas Kinkade ornaments....
I hung skate ornaments from the knob on the door....
Sitting on a sled are 2 more Snowmen from Elly's vast Snowman Collection....
Since this tree topper was too heavy to use on my new Tree over on the end table, I hung it here....
I topped this Tree off with a Snow Owl topper, tucking in a few pheasant feathers and Winter greenery....
A large white snowflake was placed near the top.....
I decorated this Tree for Winter using bird's nests...
Owls and Snow Birds....
White Tree ornaments from Dollar Tree....
Acrylic clear icicle ornaments....
And I wrapped the Tree with white snowflake wired garland....
The Tree is placed inside of a vintage blue enamelware pot....

I hope you enjoyed seeing how easy it is to leave out some of your Christmas decor to use for Winter decorating..
I LOVE how this room turned out, decorated for Winter, and I have been spending more time in it, enjoying the warm and cozy Winter feeling it gives off, especially in the evening with everything lit up....
2 Ice Skates that I embellished the tops with fur trim....
I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY for my next post when I will be taking a break for sharing Winter Decor..
I will be sharing how I did in December with my Monthly Goals and what my Goals are for January....
