Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS
I
enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and
commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have

And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

Thanks once again to Andrea, over at The Cottage Market, for choosing one of my Blog Post, One Little Word for 2026, as one of her features from last week's A Morning Cup of Joe Link Party!!
And thank you, Andrea, for your kind words...
"Debbie from Debbie Dabble shares a thoughtful reflection on choosing one little word for the year. Her post is inspiring and a gentle reminder to live with purpose and intention."
Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
Where I Have Been and What I was Doing....
On Thursday, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes...
I decided that on Saturdays, I will showcase events and places I went to, if any....
Well, on Tuesday, I had a dentist appointment for a routine cleaning...nothing exciting except that I learned that my Dentist, who is around my age, recently took on 2 new Dentists....
His nephew and son!
My sons and DIL were thrilled because they were afraid they would have to go to a new Dentist when he retired...
My Young at Heart Senior Social Club meeting for January was on Wednesday!
Our speaker for this month's meeting was Dr. Lou Guarnieri, a fellow parishioner and Chiropractor, who founded Wyoming Valley Chiropractic Center in our area...
I have known Lou for close to 50 years as I went to Nursing School with his late wife Marie and Joe and I would double date with them....
Marie and I were in the same affiliation group which meant there were 7 of us who studied Obstetrics, Psychiatric and Pediatric Nursing together, often going to different facilities and even living in a dorm up in Scranton at a Nursing School there for Obstetrics as the hospital program we attended did not have an OB department...
And as fate would have it, Lou's 2 daughters work at the Chancery for the Scranton Catholic Diocese with my son Joey!!!
Lou gave a wonderful presentation geared toward Seniors....
This was the first meeting that we were accepting yearly dues of $10 and we had a great turnout of 24 members, including Lou who is semi retired as his son and DIL are also Chiropractors...
I ordered 3 different kinds of hoagies, a Birthday cake celebrating the January Birthdays of members and other goodies that members brought in.....
I forgot to take pictures of our food table....
I am happy to say that our new Senior Social Club, of which I was elected President, is up and running..
We have speakers lined up for the next few months, a Spring Fling and a Fall Frolic catered Lunch similar to our Christmas party, which was a huge hit!!
And I have made a lot of new friends too!!
I am now working in the Kitchen changing it over from Christmas to Winter with a bit of Valentine's...
I am taking my time and enjoying the process....
Christmas is still up in the Dining Room and Living Room...
I am giving myself til the end of January to switch the downstairs over to Winter/Valentine's...
I will never ever understand why people are in such a bug hurry to get rid of Christmas....
Today, we are still in my Winter Woodland Den.....
I thought I could share this room in 2 posts but I was wrong as I have a few new things and rearranging a few other things so the 3rd post on the Den decorated for Winter will be on MONDAY...
I bought a new 4 foot Tree on Clearance last year after Christmas and I was very pleased with how it looked for Christmas this year....
I was looking forward to decorating this new Tree now for Winter....
But first, I want to go back to the back door area....
I brought this sled up from my storage shed......
My late husband Joe bought it for me from the Amish Farmer....
I placed it by the back door as I almost never go out the back in the Winter.....
I need to make a bow for it....
This is how my Snow and Ice Tree looks for this year.....
I am going to start with the Tree stripped down to just the lights....
I added a set of icicle lights to the one's already on the Tree.....
Next I added a clear acrylic beaded garland....
Then I hung these gold ornaments that sort of look like pine cones....
I hung them inside the Tree, close to the center to have the light reflect off of them....
I topped the Tree off with a clear beaded branch and gold branches.....
I decided to not use the bow that I used in previous years that I made out of a gold threaded burlap ribbon....
I also could not use the Bird Star topper, as it was too heavy for this Tree, but I did use it elsewhere....
I made a bow out of a pretty ivory velvet ribbon that has a beaded edge....
Just like the one I made changing out the bow on this wreath....
And I hung a Victorian Angel right under the bow at the top of the Tree....
Here are some of the Winter ornaments that I hung on the Tree.......
These skaters all came from Michael's many years ago....
A Lenox snowman....
2 of these snow men.....
Several cloche style ornaments....
Ski's.....
Several of these clear ornaments....
And several of these....
I then added a bunch of clear acrylic snowflakes and icicles that look like ice when the Tree is lit....
And a few other ornaments and gold glittered pine cone ornaments...
Let's take a look at the Tree all decorated....
I also placed 2 large white snowflakes on each side at the top of the Tree...
I made streamers from the velvet ribbon....
I then wrapped the Tree in a white snowflake wired garland.....
Next I decided to use a different Tree Skirt than in past years....
You may remember the Tree Skirt that Joe bought on Clearance for 90% off ( a little over $1!) that I used as a cape for Minerva.....
I decided to use it as the Tree Skirt that it was intended to be....
I used these putz like Winter house ornaments as a Village under the Tree....
I am happy with how this Tree looks all decked out for Winter....
On the side of the Tree....
On a burgundy velvet like ottoman bought in Target many years ago...
This Snowman was from my late neighbor Elly's Snowman collection....
The deer and tree are from Big Lot's....
I already shared this area in my previous post....
My old computer tower was no longer compatible with Windows 11 so my son Joey hooked up a docking station for my lap top so I can still use the monitor and keyboard here...
The bigger the screen the better for internet access as I do not use my phone for anything but to actually call people or to text...
But I want to take you around this 8' by 20 ' room that used to be a patio and half of a storage room...
I like to sit here in this chair and read as I have a goose neck lamp here which is perfect for reading...
And in my next post on MONDAY, I will be completing the tour of the Den all decorated for Winter, sharing the China Cupboard......
And the Winter Bird Tree, which will be the 4th decorated Tree in the Den....
I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY.....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
