-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my last post, I shared how I decorated the last area of my Den, the China Cupboard, for Winter....
Thanks so much, Jennifer!!
Please stop by and link up to this wonderful party!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...
Since it is Thursday, What have I been Cooking and Eating over the past week?
Last Friday, my son Joey treated to Take Home of Buffalo Wild Wings....
Even though the mozzarella sticks are in front of Joey, he did share them with me!! LOL!!
This time, they surprised Joey with a side of Mac N Cheese along with it on his Bacon Mac N Cheese Burger!
My Mushroom Swiss Burger...My meal of the day as I only do one meal a day For a Chicken place, they sure do make a mean burger....
A $10.99 pizza with sausage on it was Saturday's dinner...
I added 2 cans of mushrooms to it....

We had a Chicken from Sam's Club on Monday and I made this Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole on Tuesday....
I have made this before and it is quite tasty....

We have been having quite a Winter here in NEPA....
And this was not counting the snow we got in November as they
considered it in the Fall and not Meteorological Winter which started on December
1st....
More snow than in the last few years with a "plowable snow storm" predicted now for Sunday into Monday....
Saturday night....1 inch
Sunday....8-12 inches
Sunday night....3-5 inches
Monday...1 inch
WOWZA!!!!!!
And to top off all of that , check out the temps. for Saturday and Sunday....
Yep!
You are seeing that right....low's of 5 degrees and high's of 12 over the weekend with a snow storm on Sunday.....
I will be going to the grocery store today but not for the usual "Bread, Milk and Eggs" which everyone seems to run for when a snow storm is predicted for NEPA!!
I will be going for the ingredients to make chicken soup and noodles for it...
It is going to be a perfect weekend for a hot bowl of soup....
Out of an abundance of caution....
I rescheduled my monthly hair cut on Monday to Wednesday....
And I rescheduled an eye Dr. appointment for very early on Tuesday morning til March!!
I was going to share some snow pics from last weekend but I think I will wait to see what we get this weekend!!
LOL!
Last year, I joined a group of Bloggers who were setting Quarterly and Monthly Goals......
My Goals are more of a To Do List for each Season....
And I do so love my To Do Lists....
I
need to keep myself focused and my To Do Lists definitely help to keep
me moving and on track so I am now back into making out a weekly list
that includes a list for each day of the week...
It also helps me to live with INTENTION, which is my Word of the Year for 2026!!
"
Living intentionally means consciously
aligning your daily choices and actions with your personal values,
beliefs, and vision for your life, rather than being passively
influenced by external forces or circumstances. " "It
involves identifying what truly matters to you, taking ownership of
your decisions, and using that clarity to create a life of purpose,
meaning, and satisfaction on your own terms..."

Now that I am a widow, I have been working on redefining what the rest of my life will look like and what purpose I have now....
And I will be posting about my general INTENTIONS for this year soon....
This year, I will only be doing Monthly Goals as I feel that will be easier to post about....
But before I get into my Monthly Goals for January, along with giving you an update on those goals as it is already January 22nd, I want to take a look back on how I did with my December Goals.....

So far, I have been doing pretty good in January, all with giving myself Grace and honestly, taking my time....
As I mentioned, I am giving myself til the end of January to take down Christmas and redecorate for Winter/Valentine's in the downstairs...
I used to try to get done by the 3rd week of January which caused a lot of stress that I do not need....
I hope to post February's Goals sooner than I did this post about January's goals but I was still recovering from Christmas, which was a busy time for me and honestly, a bit harder than I thought it would be....
I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY when I will be continuing my Winter/Valentine's Decor Series and starting my tour of the Kitchen, decorated in mainly a Winter theme with Snowmen and Red Cardinals....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
And try to find JOY in every single day!
