Today, I will be finishing the tour of the Dining Room decorated for Easter....
A 6 foot pencil thin Tree....
This is how it looked at Christmas......
I kept it up and decorated it for Valentine's.....
After seeing a post on FB about pink Easter Trees, I decided to go with my Pink Easter Tree in the Dining Room once again....
So I stripped the Tree down to the lights and placed it in one of the Body Bags that I use to store my larger Trees in....
YES!
You read that right!
A BODY BAG!
Many years ago, I realized that a body bag ( remember I was a nurse) was the perfect size and easiest way to store a Tree in, leaving all the lights on it....
Now this Tree only weighs 7 pounds so it would be easy for me to take it down the steps to my parking lot, put in the back of my SUV and take down my storage shed to store....
But that also means that I would have to bring it back to the house in November again, like Joe always did with the previous Tree I had in the Dining Room.....
Honestly, I am not sure that I want to do that......
It is too tall to store up the attic....
I did decide that I am going to leave the 6 foot flocked Tree up in the Sitting Room year round as that is a wide Tree and would really be quite a chore to haul it back and forth from my storage shed....
That decision gave me a chance to use the round table which would have replaced the Tree in the Sitting Room.....
I had previously use a plant stand with a glass table round on top of it to create the round table in the Dining Room.....
I covered it with an ivory tablecloth, then a rose colored one and then a lace table topper......
I store this 4 ft. pink tinsel Tree, that I bought for a mere $5 on Clearance many years ago after Christmas, up the attic....
When I went to check the lights on it, NONE of the 3 sets of lights that I had on it worked!!!
Let's just say that a few interesting words came out of my mouth as this has not happened to me in a very long time as I have been using all LED lights on my Trees....
Except this one which had 3 sets of incandescent Easter lights on it....
I now needed a set of lights with a white wire so up the attic I went to check my stash of lights which I buy on clearance after Christmas...
To the side of the Tree on a small narrow cupboard....
My late friend Anne Marie gifted this sweet bunny to me....
There is actually a candle inside this bunny when you remove his hat.....
I bought this bunny several years ago.....
In the center is another bunny....
And an egg dish....
Another bunny that Anne Marie gifted me inside of a vintage milk glass compote bowl....
Ceramic eggs and an Easter basket I made from a peat pot.....
I added a few eggs to the shelf....
In the corner by the Kitchen....
Is my vintage funeral basket that I decorate for each Holiday and Season....
I filled it with pink flowers and pussy willows....
And some bunny and egg picks...
An Easter bottle bought at the Christmas Tree Shop and an egg tree.....
The Bearington Bear Bunnies were also gifted to me by Anne Marie....
In a vintage crystal compote bowl....
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
