I wanted to share this amazing soup that I ordered from my great niece Carly as a Fund Raiser for her Senior Class Trip.....
It is home made from a local Farm.....
It was more like a stew rather than a soup......
I also ordered a Loaded Baked Potato Soup and it was definitely loaded....
If she is ever selling these again, I will definitely order again...
I know in my last post, I mentioned that I would be sharing the Kitchen decorated for Easter but instead, I want to share an unplanned project I did along with a family Birthday celebration.....
The other day, I was doing something in my storage room and noticed that I really have a lot of cans of spray paint, including 4 cans of a periwinkle blue.....
I then went out back to clean out the dryer vent and noticed just how rusted my set of wrought iron chairs and table were from being out in the elements for several years....
Since it was still March at the time, I had not done a single thing to clean up the back yard and patio...
And truthfully, I still haven't done any Spring clean up.....
So I took advantage of everything being covered with tarps and nothing out in the yard....
I laid down a plastic tablecloth as a drop cloth......
I really like the color on these....
I really like how the flowers stand out with the new paint color....
This was an unplanned spur of the moment project.....
She liked this bunny that I had made a few years ago....

We had a wonderful evening and I am so happy that we celebrated on April 1st...
I couldn't help but think that Joe's spirit was there with us....
Lily was holding onto the eye on the teddy bear that Hospice made from Joe's Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguin's Sweatshirt for quite some time...
And later on, she was holding onto Joe's ID badge on the bear....
Just holding on as if it comforted her...
Gigi picked up one of the dog toys that Azumi was playing with....
A Pittsburgh Penguins hockey stick, that Joe bought in Pittsburgh for the pups, and was walking around with it .....
I know Joe was up there smiling.....
Nelson Crest is all decked out for Easter.....
In my next post on MONDAY, I will be starting my tour of the Kitchen decorated for Easter....
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hi Deb..glad the happy new memories replaced your sad ones. April 12 will be 9 years since my mom passed. I miss her every day. My dad has been gone 8. There are definitely hard days.

Barb,
DeleteIt was a hard day but I am so happy that the kids came over and we had a nice evening together... And with the twins each holding on to something of Joe's, it made us all smile...April 12th will be hard for me too as that was the day I had to call the ambulance to take him to the hospital the 2nd time and I knew he was never coming home again....
Hugs,
Deb
What a full post! The table and chairs look fabulous! That paint was a great color and fortunate you had enough. It really makes the set look nice and fresh.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Danielle. What a fun party even though the girls were sleepyheads. They are so adorable.
And I am so glad that you can replace the bittersweet memories with new ones. I do think Joe was looking down and bursting with joy that the girls were playing with his shirt bear and the hockey stick.
You've been really productive! I bet you can't wait till the girls are old enough to adore the doll house! And yes, lovely NEW memories -- those are so important. Really sweet pix.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post - so glad you were able to enjoy your family and enjoy memories while you embrace the good times. I love the blue table and chairs - so fresh looking. And yes, I believe our loved ones who have passed are with us...you can just feel them sometimes. Take care, enjoy your family, and cherish your memories!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a wonderful birthday celebration! I am a firm believer that Joe was watching over you that evening (and probably other times as well) and I'm sure he is filled with pride and love for you all! I'm glad April 1 now holds some precious memories that bring a smlie to your face!
ReplyDeleteOh I love how that set looks all painted blue! It is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove your painted bistro set--what a transformation, Debbie! Your little Grands are getting so big! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteThe table and chairs are very pretty and look great now. I also love that doll house! Thank you for sharing with us at The Really Crafty Link Party, and have a wonderful weekend!
