I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Lustreware Collection in the Upstairs Hall, 2025

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared my purple and sage green Victorian styled Bathroom.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Well, I checked off another Goal from my February Goals List.....

I packed up all of Christmas from the upstairs Hall, cleaned and returned it to normal....

Let's start at the stairs though.....

My Gallery Wall on the left side of the stairs.......

My inspiration for this wall, which I did a long time ago, was the Frederick Stegmaier Mansion, right here in Wilkes Barre.....

I used to belong to a Victorian Society that, not only had it's meetings at the Mansion, but my friend Lisa, who headed the group, frequently assisted and presented programs at the Mansion as part of the Specialty Tea's the Mansion held and I attended....

We also stayed there for a weekend in celebration of our Wedding Anniversary once....

The walls  on the 3 flights of stairs are used to display all kinds of pictures as was the style in Victorian times....

Many years ago, I began collecting pictures that I found at yard sales, estate sales and flea markets, mostly Home Interiors pictures, that went with my color theme of peach and aqua in the Living Room....

And a lot of them ended up on this wall....

3 years ago, when the War against Ukraine started, I decided to proudly display my Eastern European Heritage and framed these....

They are both my parent's First Holy Communion Certificates from 1928 and their Wedding Certificate from 1942....

All are written in Polish!!

Both Joe and I are only second generation Americans, as my Dad and Joe's Mother were born to Polish Immigrants and became American Citizens at birth....

We were always very PROUD of our Polish Heritage so 2 years ago, I decided to frame a lot of my parent's pictures and other treasures.........

My Family Gallery Wall on the right side of the stairs....

Looking down at both gallery walls from upstairs....

As one walks up the steps.....

Again, I am going to apologize as the hall upstairs is small so it is very hard to get good pictures of it....

On the wall to the left is a Home Interiors mirror and  brass sconce bought at a yard sale over 25 years ago....

I leave the bows I made from music sheet ribbon up year round....

This is where I display my vintage Lustreware Collection....

On a vintage corner wall shelf....

My collection started when a beloved neighbor was moving to senior housing and she gifted me this demitasse cup and saucer....

I started looking for more pieces after that.....

What is Japenese Lusterware???

"A look that Noritake popularized in the early 1920s through the mid-1930s was lustreware. Lustreware used bright single-color glazes over which a thin metallic film was applied, resulting in a rainbow of iridescence. Art deco theme decals and hand paintings were often used with luster finishes to create stunning period objects. Japanese lustreware is not uncommon, and Noritake marked lustreware represents today only a fraction of the total 20th Century Japanese lustreware products available today. "

I left the sage green fern like florals up after Christmas....

The gold pocket planter is Home Interiors....

A vintage corner shelf.....

I have scattered gold butterflies that Joe bought on Clearance in Big Lot's throughout the displays....

I placed a Lustreware vase inside of a lantern....

Until I decide what to do with these Victorian girl doll heads, I hung them here....

I also have placed battery operated candles that come on by timer to light the hallway throughout the night...

Victorian Doll Ornaments.....

On the sides of the shelf are 2 Bearington Bears....

The one on the left was gifted to me by Joe and the one on the right was gifted to me by my late friend Anne Marie....

An Antique mantel mirror......

I kept the angel up from Christmas.....

The ceiling tile art was purchased on Ebay and Joe gifted me the picture below it....

This wall shelf was my late neighbor Elly's....

I decided to leave up the picture I made using vintage looking music sheets of Christmas songs....

Since I also kept out the bows I made from music sheet ribbon.....

A vintage Christ Child, Jesus, picture......

Across by the door way into my bedroom......

I leave the white branch "Tree" up year round and I left it decorated with the vintage style angel ornaments that I made....

I left out the vintage angel I made along with a Lenox candle holder that was gifted to me by a friend and a Lustreware tea cup and saucer.....

On the wall across.....

More yard sale finds....

On the wall across from the 2 back bedrooms, now my craft room and sitting room......

This is where I display the blue color themed Lustreware...

Sorry about the flash reflection in the mirror as I did not want my face in the mirror as I stood in the craft room doorway....

I bought this wall unit on Ebay....

The plate rack was a yard sale find along with the vintage plates.....

I placed a vase inside of the lantern....

 More butterflies....

Love this elephant tea pot that I bought at an local Antique Co Op.....

I forgot to mention that I used all vintage doilies....

On the side of the wall shelf....

I bought the angels at an estate sale and they have "Made in Italy" on the back of them....

Another Home Interiors picture....

I bought this vintage shelf a Salvation Army for $10 and it was a perfect fit for this area.....

More Victorian Doll ornaments.....

And butterflies....

It was nice to see pieces that I have not seen in 17 months as I never got to pack Christmas away last year due to Joe's illness and passing.....

And it makes me smile when I see all these pretties.....

I HOPE you enjoyed seeing my Lustreware Collection and how I displayed it in an unusual area.....

I also packed away the Christmas decor in my bedroom but still have to undecorate my Victorian Lady Tree....

I am not touching Joe's Pittsburgh area, that I created for him, in our bedroom until the early Summer when my son Joey and I are going to go through everything and decide what we will keep and what we will do with the rest of it...

Joey is a Hockey fan so he will take some of it where my son Jim is not....

Joe did tell Joey what needs to be kept because of their value and if he sells anything that monies would be split between Joey and Jim.....

Joey may take the Penguins ornaments from the Tree that I always set up for Joe and I will give the Steelers ones to fans that I know....

I will be decorating this feather Tree next Christmas with other ornaments in a new space because I simply can not deal with looking at this space as time goes on....

I will reclaim this area and decorate it to my taste as it is something that I just need to do....

I will keep some Pittsburgh Memorabilia here by the dresser....

So that is yet another project for the Summer.....

I HOPE you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY for my next post....
