In my last post, I shared my back yard Cottage Garden.....
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
For many years, I have been decorating the Seasonal Tree in the Living Room for the Summer Patriotic Holidays.....
Last year, I added red and blue lights....
However, I had put the red lights away after removing them from the Tree for Easter after Valentine's but I simply could not find them so I just left them off the Tree this year....
I actually found the lights a few days ago.....
Over the years, I made many of the ornaments for this Tree.....
Here are some of them....
I used silver, red and blue tinsel garland from Dollar Tree on the Tree also.....
And wrapped a wired star garland around the entire Tree....
And this is how it came out without the lights on.....
And with the lights on.....
The Tree is not much different than other years.....
But I did do things a bit differently on the platform......
This is what it looked like last year........
I used a vinyl Patriotic tablecloth to cover the platform that my Dad made for me 45 years ago.....
This year I decided use a red fabric tablecloth that I had in my stash instead to cover the platform that this Seasonal Tree rests on....
I also want to share the firecrackers that I made a few years ago out of various paper rolls....
In the left corner......
A vase filled with flowers and red, white and blue decorative stems....
A wooden Uncle Sam.....
One of 2 firecrackers that I made....
A sign bought at Gabes a few years ago....
In the center, in a red flyer wagon are 2 Bears, that were part of my late neighbor Elly's Bear collection, dressed in Patriotic sweaters.....
Their sweaters say "God Bless America" and I put Patriotic Hats from Dollar Tree on their little heads....
A "God Bless America" sign is in front of the wagon.....
A vintage Colonial Blue Fenton Hobnail Ruffled Edge Basket sits inside a Dollar Tree tinsel wreath....
In the right corner......
More red, white and blue flowers and decorative stems in a vintage milk glass vase.....
Sitting on a bench is a Patriotic Bear, that Joe had bought for me, all dressed up in her Patriotic Finery....
Another firecracker that I made.....
An Uncle Sam Nutcracker....
Another sign from Gabes....
I am glad that I switched to the solid red tablecloth as I think it makes the items on the platform pop....
And that is my Patriotic Tree for this year in the Living Room......
I usually keep it decorated like this until a week or so after July 4th and then I will change it over to my "Under the Sea" Tree......
In my next post on SATURDAY, for Saturday Snippets, I will be sharing how I decorated the top of the TV Entertainment Center, which I treat as a mantel, a bit differently this year for the Summer Patriotic Holidays.....
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY!!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Gosh isn't it hard to believe how far into June we are already! Time flies! My favorite ornament on your trees is the little angels. Just adorable.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Debbie -- Oh my gosh, those babies get cuter every day!! What a joy to have them. So many decorations on your patriotic tree -- lots to look at and get ideas for a bit of 4th of July decorating. I usually just put out several American flags of various sizes. Enjoy your day -- Patty
ReplyDeletePatty,
DeleteThanks again for stopping by!! Hope you are staying cool...
Hugs,
Deb
At first I thought it hardly seems time for the fourth of July but yes -- only a couple of weeks away. Where has this year gone? Your decorations are so festive!
ReplyDeleteWow, that patriotic tree is awesome! Love our Stars and Stripes, forever! Your cottage garden is lovely too, you must be a wonderful gardener. Happy summer!
ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing display of flags and red, white, and blue! Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous... even without the red lights! Though I am glad you found them for the next time you need them. I find it so annoying when I misplace something I know I just had in my sights recently.
