Today, I am going to sharing the rest of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween....
In my last post, I shared how I decorated the Dining Room Hutch as an Apothecary Cabinet for Halloween this year....
And also the reappearance of Minerva downstairs for a Halloween Ball that she will be attending!!!
Click
HERE if you missed that post!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
Joe and Joey will be returning form their annual trip to Pittsburgh for an Exhibition Penguin's Hockey game that Joe gets 2 free tickets to as a Season Ticket Holder for our Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguin's Team.....
They left on Wednesday morning so I have been home alone since then.....
I have been asked why I do not go with them....
My answer is "Why would I?"
This is my vacation!!!
Almost 3 days of peace and quiet and NO COOKING!!!
So why would I want to go!!
LMAO!
It is a good Father and Son bonding experience and I would not want to interfere with that.....
They have stopped at the Flight 93 Memorial to see the Tower of Voices which they did not see before when they were there....
I will be sharing pictures in future posts....
On Wednesday, I took advantage of a beautifully cool and Sunny day to change the Front porch and yard over to Halloween from Fall...
Yes, I finally gave in to Joe and Joey's pleading to decorate the front for Halloween...
I did have fun doing so!
I will be sharing this with you on MONDAY!!!!
Today, I will be finishing up my Tour of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween........
Again, since many of you have questioned where I will be putting all
the new things that I recently bought and made, I will be pointing them
out.....
I will start today with the small curio between the buffet and the hutch, both of which you have already seen.....
On an old Home Interiors shelf......
A gift from my friend Anne Marie!!
On top of the small curio is a haunted house that I bought a long time ago in Target........
This cute pumpkin man was another gift from my friend Anne Marie.....
As were these cute Halloween children.....
I made this a few years ago.....
On the floor in front of the curio.....
2 silver mercury glass pumpkins and a cute Bearington Bear.....
In the opposite corner by the Living Room .......
Is my Halloween Tree in the Dining Room.....
On the floor by the Tree....
I made this a few years ago....
A sweet witch.....
Hanging on the window divider....
I bought this table top silver Tree a few years back in Big Lot's after Christmas for $10.....
Besides this witch's hat garland, there is a black leaf and a black and silver beaded garland on the Tree...
The bow topper is made from 3 different ribbons.......
I made some of the ornaments over the years.......
And also bought a few too!!
I made the Tree skirt......
This year, I moved the Yankee Candle Pumpkin People under the Tree on the table....
To the side of the Tree......
A Halloween tassel witch, gifted to me by Anne Marie, hangs on the wall clock......
On a marble topped plant stand.......
Is a birdcage that I painted black and placed in a vintage milk glass compote bowl......
There is a silver skull inside of it.....
I made the Halloween Trick or Treat baskets out of peat posts.......
And you may remember the Trick or Treat can in Dollar General for $1.....
I changed out the pink votives in the sconces for clear ones and hung skeletons from them....
On the shelf under the picture......
I bought the trees in Dollar Tree.....
And the crystal candlesticks at a church flea market a few weeks ago.....
In the corner by the Dining Room.....
On the side of the large curio....
On top of another marble topped stand is my funeral basket......
This year I added these hands, that my friend Anne Marie gifted me, to the arrangement.....
At the base of the basket....
That is an antique Funeral card, yet another gift from Anne Marie, on the left....
On the floor in front of the curio....
On the shelf to the side of the curio.....
On top of the curio....
On the cabinet that my Dad built to match the Dining Room furniture which was Joe's Grandmother's.....
An Ode to Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven".....
" Once upon a Midnight dreary"
I bought these in Big Lot's recently.....
And the typewriter in Ross a few years ago......
" Quoth the Raven Nevermore "
I wrapped this tinsel garland from Dollar General around the chandy....
Skulls, ghouls and skeletons hang from the chandy!!
A bat hangs in the center....
And that completes my Tour of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween this year.....
I really had a great time "playing" in this room for Halloween this year!!
I never ever consider decorating Work because I look at it as Play!!
And I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY when I will be sharing the outside of the house decorated for Halloween for the first time in 20 years!!!
I did have a lot of FUN playing out there!!!!!
It was like being a kid again!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

THURSDAY
Please take some time to visit these terrific hosts and all those joining in on the fun!
You inspired me! I am starting to work on my own curio cabinet of curiosity. I stopped at our Dollar Tree and they had one sign left - And I took it as a sign, lol. I have been gathering supplies and I think the hardest part will be emptying my overflowing cabinet so I can start decorating! If I manage to pull this together, I will be sharing photos on my blog! Thanks for letting me steal a GREAT idea!!!
ReplyDeleteDeb, you should work for a major retailer or a small shop as a merchandiser. I swear I'd buy it all...the way you display things is so wonderfully appetizing!! Happy Halloween!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday, Deb. Your Halloween decorations look spooktacular. Oh my, what a beautiful tree and I just love the witch hat garland. You know I tell you all the time I always leave your sweet home with so many ideas to use in my own and I thank you for that. Now after seeing your post I want to go decorate my chandelier. Hee ! Hee ! Beautiful job. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteVery spooky and very fun, Debbie! I do love a cabinet of curiosity and I'd love a sign like that one!
ReplyDeleteI second Kim's comment; you have real talent Deb! 👏
