I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

St. Patrick's Day Tree and More

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

In my last post, I shared my St. Patrick's Day decorations in the Den......
I decorated the China Cupboard and the area around it.......

This is actually the only area in the house that I decorate for St. Patrick's Day......

I shared the top of the China Cupboard......
And how I decorated the inside of the China Cupboard.....
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

Today, I am going to share the rest of my St. Patrick's Day decorations in the Den....

But first, I want to thank, Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, The "Before" of the Upstairs Hallway, as one of her features from last week's Over the Moon Linky party!!!
 Thanks so much, Bev!!!

I also want to Thank Kristie, over at Love My Little Cottage, for featuring my post, A Few New Things, from last week's Little Cottage Link Party but most of all for these kind words..... "My last feature highlights the things Debbie found on her shopping trip for spring. I love to see what people buy on clearance, and at thrift stores. Also, Debbie’s writing is so warm and personal, I feel like I know her."
I try to keep my blog personal so thanks, Kristie, for making my day!!

And I also want to Thank, Rebecca, over at Zucchini Sisters, for featuring my post, A Few New Things, from last week's Celebrate Your Story Linky Party!!!
Thanks so much, Rebecca!!

Please stop by and link up to this wonderful parties!!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I used to decorate this Tree in the Den for St. Patrick's Day.....
But with Easter falling on different dates and sometimes very close to St. Patrick's Day, I decided to repurpose what I used to decorate that Tree and decorate the China Cupboard and the area around it......
I did hang some things on the sides of the China Cupboard......
A vintage styled Shamrock bought at Dollar Tree.....
On the small table to the side, I decided to decorate a small Tree......

You may remember this white feather like Tree in the Craft Room decorated for Christmas......
After taking down the Christmas decorations in the Craft Room, I decided to use it here in the Den......
And decorate it for St. Patrick's Day with some of the ornaments that I had.....
I used a Dollar Tree Leprechaun Hat as the topper.....
Here is a close up of some of the ornaments......
On the table......
Is a vintage St. Patrick's Day postcard......
And a Saint Patrick ornament.......
Beneath the table sitting on a chair that I covered with a St. Patrick's Day dish towel is a sweet Irish Lass......
Isn't she sweet????
On the other side of the China Cupboard......
I hung a Shamrock that I bought at a yard sale for $1.00 and I spruced up a bit......
Another Shamrock from Dollar Tree....
On a pedestal, is a green depression glass bowl........
I bought this bowl at a church Flea Market.....
Sitting inside of it is a Teddy Bear wearing a sweater with shamrocks on it and a pot of gold......
2 Pot of Gold ornaments.......
On the vintage suitcases that I have stacked on the floor in front of a China Cupboard.....
I used more of my Old Curiosity Shop dishes like I used inside of the China Cupboard....
I bought these vintage style plaques at Michael's a few years back.....
A green depression glass bowl with a hand made ornament, that I bought at a yard sale, placed inside of it.....
A Leprechaun ornament.....

A tea cup and saucer, Old Curiosity Shop dishes, with a darling angel.....
With shamrocks on her!!
I also used a few green carnations from Dollar Tree....
I apologize for the glare as the Sun was shining through the windows in the Den.....
A vintage Lefton tea cup......
I pared it up with this saucer......
Bought at yard sales.....
I left up the Tree on the side of the China Cupboard after I took down the Xmas and Winter decorations.....
I simply topped it with the bow that I had made that once topped the larger St, Patrick's Day Tree.....
And I hung a vintage style ornament on it.....
I took a few pictures without the flash so you can see how everything looks lit up.....
I hoped you enjoyed seeing how I decorated for St. Patrick's Day this year ....

I sure enjoyed being able to decorate for it this year......

This past weekend, I packed away the Christmas, Winter and Valentine's decorations from the Powder Room......
It is now back to what I call my "Elegant Lady" Powder Room.......
This week, I already took down and packed away Winter/Valentine's in the Kitchen and will be taking down and packing away Valentine's in the Living Room and Dining Room......

Then I will start decorating for Easter......

For February Rudolph Day, I posted over on my Christmas Blog about some ornaments that I bought after Christmas on Clearance and plan to use to decorate trees throughout the year....
Click HERE if you missed that post......

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

  2. Debby, I so enjoyed all your decorations. I am a combo of Scotch-Irish and Polish (and boy am I frugal!!!). My last name used to be O'Malley and I enjoyed learning about the Irish when I was married. I have a small section of living room wall covered with Irish blessings that I have collected over the years. Haven't checked Michael's yet this year--always on the lookout for another one! I have a pot of gold on my front door--my only decor so far!
