Autumn Tree and "Pumpkin Patch" in the Living Room, 2019

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Today, I will be sharing my Autumn Tree in the Living Room and the "Pumpkin Patch" underneath it!!
If you have visited here before, you know that I decorate Trees for every Holiday and Season of the year with a minimum of 2 Trees decorated in our house at all times.....

I have made the decision that this 7 foot slim Tree that I decorate for Fall, Christmas and Valentine's Day, will be staying here in the corner of the Living Room permanently.....

I would change out this Tree for a 6 foot white tree which I decorated for Easter.......
The Patriotic Holidays in the Summer.....
And then in an "Under The Sea" theme.......
And then move it upstairs to the Sitting Room to decorate for Christmas.....
That would also involve bringing the 7 foot slim Tree up from our storage shed and hauling the platform that my Dad built downstairs....

As Joe and I get older, the truth of the matter is that this is all getting a bit harder for us to do so that is why I have decided to keep this Tree here along with the platform....

The 6 foot white tree has also seen better days and is looking a bit dirty so I am now on the hunt for a nice 4 foot table top white tree for the Sitting Room that does not come with lights as I prefer to do my own lights..........

But anyway, this is my Autumn Tree in the Living Room.....
Not much is different with the Tree itself this year except for a few new ornaments that I made......
You may remember that I made a bunch of ornaments for my Fall/Halloween Kitchen Tree this year  since this was the first year that I decided to do a Kitchen Tree for Fall.....

While I was at it, I made these for the Living Room Autumn Tree.....
This is how this corner in our Living Room looks......
My Fall decoration in the Living Room have more of an elegant feel to them.....
And so does the Tree......

I tucked a bunch of different kinds of Fall florals into the top of the Tree.....
The bow is made out of 3 different ribbons.....
Streamers of orange glittered ribbon encircle the Tree......
There is a gold beaded garland on the Tree......
And lots of Fall ornaments that I have collected over the years......
There are gold, rusty orange, brown and bronze ball ornaments......
Different leaf ornaments.....
Owls.......
Pumpkins.....
Squirrels.....
Birds....
Scarecrows......
Pine Cones......
An acorn....
And a fox.....
I also tucked a few different kinds of Fall florals and leaves into the Tree....
I wrapped a wire Fall Leaf garland around the Tree.......
I moved the platform that I set up my Christmas Village on downstairs.....

Covered it with a gold tablecloth........
And created a "Pumpkin Patch"on it.....
I have done this for several years now but it looks a bit different this year as I toned it down a bit, having given away some decorations to family......
On the left side.....
On a wicker stool that I covered with a lace table round.....
Fall florals and an orange LED branch in an orange vase......
A mosaic Hurricane lamp with a battery operated candle in it, surrounded by faux pumpkins, a pine cone and an acorn.....
Resting on an inverted gold planter is a velvet pumpkin.....
Several years ago, I embellished a lot of the pumpkins that I had bought.....
The "Happy Harvest" wooden sign was bought at Dollar Tree this year.....
The acorn was bought at Big Lot's and the leaf dish was bought at Dollar tree.....
More embellished pumpkins are around the base of the Tree.....
I bought this red truck last year.....
I filled it with more pumpkins......
A battery operated candle sits in the front of the truck......
Faux Indian Corn.....
The squirrel was bought at Big Lot's.....
Another leaf dish bought at Dollar Tree.....
Over on the right side....
This was a picture that I made last year.....
From this....
Next to the picture is this scarecrow that I bought at a flea market last year and embellished it.....
Another wooden sign " Friends and Family Gather Here"  bought at Dollar Tree.....
A mallard duck....
And I scattered leaves bought at Dollar Tree around....
So that is my Autumn Tree and "Pumpkin Patch" in the Living Room for this year...
Speaking of Fall Trees, this is a Tree in my neighbor Lynn's yard......
This is what I love about Fall......
The leaves changing colors, which is just starting to happen here as it has been unseasonably warm up until now....

This is the Burning Bush in my neighbor Elly's yard.....
Soon it will be ablaze in all red!!

It is an end of an era for us as my neighbor Elly's, who I have mentioned often here on my blog, sons have sold her home......

So now the new owner is gutting it , remodeling it and will be using it as a rental property....

Sigh......

This week is our church's Harvest Tea which I will NOT  be participating in this year as a hostess or attending......

Since I was supposed to originally have my surgery in October, I had never planned on doing the Tea this year...

But we have donated a basket for the raffle held during the tea.....
"Dinner in a Winter Wonderland" is the name of the basket that we donated.....
In place of doing the Harvest Tea at the church, I will be having a few friends over at different times and a family get together for Fall here at the house instead....

This past weekend, Joe and I attended the Disturbed concert at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza which is 5 minutes from our house!!

Joe has always been a heavy metal rocker, listening to Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, etc., when he was younger....

The opening act was a Goth Theatrical Band called 'In This Moment" and this was their stage and set up....
And all the smoke before they came on stage....
After they finished performing and they were highly entertaining I must say, they removed everything and brought out just the drum set and 3 mikes for Disturbed!!
David Draiman who is the lead singer of Disturbed simply walked all over the stage as he sang!!
When he sang their famous remake of "Sound of Silence" the top of the piano was on fire!!

I could not get a picture of that but it was so cool!!!
Like Joe says, we may be old but we sure as heck are not dead yet!!!
 We thoroughly enjoyed this concert!!!

In my next post, I will be sharing the rest of the Living Room decorated for Fall.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. Lawsy, girl! You are a decorating wizard for sure. I am tired just thinking about all the time and hard work this took!!! I go a little crazy at Christmas (4 trees) and decorate throughout the house, but I'm just too lazy to do it more than once a year:) As your blog name suggests, you sure do "dabble" in a lot of things:) Glad you are enjoying life!!!

Then I would have to grab your hubs and we could discuss the metal bands we enjoy-Then and NOW. Turning the big 6-0 next week -and like Joe says NOT DEAD YET! LOL

  3. Live the topper on your tree. What is the name of the Christmas shop you go to. I would love to make a trip to see it sometime.

  9. I love the red truck and that squirrel is darling. I guess you are going to use this tree year round for Easter and summer? I thought of you this morning at Joann's. They have a Christmas collection of ornaments featuring sea creatures. They would be perfect for your Under the Sea summer tree. I bet you will be able to find these on sale after Christmas.
