I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Today, I will be sharing some Halloween vignettes in our Dining Room....
But first, I want to Thank Barb, over at French Ethereal, for choosing my post, Fall/ Halloween Kitchen Decorations, Part 1, from last week's Share Your Style Link Party!!
Thanks so much, Barb!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!
In my previous post, I shared my Witch's Brew and Potion Station on our Dining Room Buffet.....
Click HERE if you missed that post....
In today's post, I am going to continue where I left off in my last post.....
Next to the buffet......
On the wall.......
Above the curio......
On a Home Interiors shelf hanging on the wall.....
Is a cute Halloween Putz house.....
You can see that I draped a black spider web runner with an orange moon and bats over the white lace runner on top of the Hutch.....
On the floor in front of the curio.....
A lantern....
A "Witch's Boot' which is actually an antique Ladies boot filled with some black and white flowers.....
And a silver mercury glass pumpkin with a black spider resting on top of it sits on a silver tray bought at Dollar Tree.....
On top of the Hutch.......
I made the Halloween Tussie Mussie that hangs above it......
The Pumpkin people are made by Yankee Candle....
Joe bought the Witch's Weather Vane on Clearance last year in Target for 90 % off!!
This ceramic Haunted House is very special to me.....
Joe bought this for me from a lady that he worked with the first Halloween after we were married way back in 1978!!
The tombstones are actually plastic boxes for candy bones bought in Dollar Tree many years ago!!
On the window divider between the Dining Room and Living Room on this side.......
Edgar Allen Poe!!
Across in the corner........
Is my Dining Room Halloween Tree ....
Continuing around the room.....
On the shelf under the large picture......
More potion bottles that I made a few years back....
A Bride and Groom Skeleton couple.....
Looking at the corner by the Kitchen.......
I decorated the top of the curio differently this year.....
In years past, it looked like this....
The pumpkin with the creepy face that I painted on it and the witch's hat found a new home with my niece Renae.....
She gladly took 2 boxes of Halloween decorations off my hands!!!
This is what the top of the curio looks like this year....
I replaced the pumpkin with a black twig tree and one of my silver mercury glass owls....
I hung a cute skeleton on the Tree....
I bought the tombstone last year ....
And I made the Boo pumpkin several years ago.....
Hanging on the faux window.....
Is another Halloween Tussie Mussie that I made....
On a shelf beside the curio.....
The other silver mercury glass owl.......
Beneath the shelf on a marble topped stand.....
Is my funeral basket which I decorate for different Holidays and Seasons.....
This too is decorated a bit differently this year as the garland with skulls on it that I used to wrap around the handle also found a new home at my niece Renae's home.....
On the table is a paper mache coffin that I painted and decoupaged and placed a skeleton inside.....
And an Antique Funeral Card that my friend Anne Marie gifted me.....
Is where I decided to set up my Edgar Allen Poe "Quoth the Raven Nevermore" display......
Other years, I combined Edgar Allen Poe themed things with the potion bottles that I made on the buffet.....
"Quoth the Raven Nevermore"
I framed a picture that I copied online......
An arrangement of orange Fall leaves and black roses.....
I bought this typewriter in Ross's a few years ago......
"Once upon a Midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore".......
I embellished an old clock that I set to Midnight.....
Another picture that I framed.....
I covered the white lace runner with another black spider web one.....
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Halloween vignettes in the Dining Room.........
On a personal note, Joe and I attended our great niece Cortney's soccer game as it was Senior Night for the 5 Seniors on the team including Cortney.....
I have mentioned before, Cortney is the Goalie on the team.....
Ironically, Cort's number is #29 which is the same number that her Dad, my late nephew John, had when he played Soccer as a teenager......
It was a great evening where family and friends and neighbors of my niece Renae all came out to show their Support and Love for Cort.....
Cort's sister's Caitlin and Carly along side her poster.....
Joe with Cait.....
At half time, when the seniors were honored, Caitlin, Carly and Renae escorted Cortney onto the field.......
It was an emotional moment for all of us especially when they announced that Cortney's future plans are to follow in her late Father's footsteps and become a Nurse Anesthetist....
A photo of the 5 seniors with their families....
It was a lovely evening as the Sun set on Cort's High School Soccer career.....
I also want to share this photo of our great niece Caitlin who attended the Homecoming Dance....
Caitlin loves to style hair and has styled her sister's and friend's hair for many occasions......
I had to share how she styled her own hair for the dance and used one of the vintage combs, that was my neighbor Elly's, that I had given her........
So pretty!!
My neighbor Elly would be thrilled to know that Cait loves her vintage combs.....
Cait loves all things vintage and antique like I do and I have promised my bedroom furniture, which was my Mother's, to her.....
I was going to paint over the finish that my Dad painted the furniture for me when I was a teenager and wanted a "French Provincial" look but Caitlin loves the finish on the furniture so it will stay as it is.....
For years, I wrestled with the thought of painting over this antiquing finish that my Dad so lovingly painted on this furniture so I could have the look I wanted because they could not afford to buy me new bedroom furniture .....
Now I know why it took me so long to decide...
Because Caitlin decided for me!!
In my next post, I will be sharing my Halloween Tree and a few other things in this corner.......
So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
