I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Today, I will be starting a series of posts sharing my Halloween decorations in our Dining Room, starting with what I am calling my Witch's Brew and Potion Station in the buffet.....
But first, I want to Thank the Creative Week Hosts of the You're the Star Monthly Bog Hop, for choosing my post, I've Been Making Fall/ Halloween Ornaments ,as one of the Creative Week features from September's Monthly party!!!
Thanks so much to Colleen, over at Butterfly in the Attic, Darlene, over at Let It Shine, and Mel, over at Decor Craft Design!!
Please stop by and link up to this great party!!
I only decorate the Dining Room in a Halloween theme so when I unpacked tubs and tubs of decorations, I realized it was time to weed out some decorations and make room for a few new ones Joe bought on Clearance last year....
Fortunately my niece Renae and her daughters Cortney, Caitlin and Carly gladly took 2 boxes of Halloween decorations off my hands leaving me some room to change things up a bit in the Dining Room this year....
In the corner by the Kitchen is the buffet......
On the wall......
A large Halloween Tussie Mussie that was gifted to me by a dear friend......
Halloween Skeleton people and a Jack O Lantern......
Skeleton Sam is sitting in the corner , surveying everything.....
He is looking quite dapper with his black bow tie.....
On the floor is a skull on top of a pumpkin and a bottle of candy eyeballs.....
In years past, I decorated the buffet in an Edgar Allen Poe theme......
I changed things up a bit this year......
I moved all the decorations that had an Edgar Allen Poe theme to a different area.....
Several years ago, I made a bunch of potion bottles.....
I also made some spell books.......
Perfect for my Witch's Brew and Potion Station......
I placed a black spider web runner over the white lace one......
I will let the photos do most of the talking.....
On a cake pedestal......
In an antique sterling silver wedding basket.....
Is a skull that I embellished with gemstones and a rhinestone trim......
On a shelf above the buffet......
A black twig tree with a crow and an owl perched in it.....
A Bride and Groom Skeleton couple and "Twisted Twigs" in a black frame....
More potion bottles and the spell books that I made......
On each side are Spell Book boxes that I bought in Dollar Tree this year.....
Sitting in a crystal compote, is a silver mercury glass pumpkin......
I embellished the pumpkin with orange rhinestone trim that I found in the Dollar Bins in Micheal's.....
I bought this great skeleton candelabra with bat wings in Gabes a few years ago.....
A silver bony hand holding a skull......
An orange moon with flying bats is on each end of the black spider web runner......
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated the buffet this year for Halloween......
I want to also share this amazing Sunset that we had the other day......
And I want to mention that my marigolds finally bit the dust out in front of our house so Joe pulled them out and trimmed the shrubs in the flower bed underneath our Living Room window......
Joe bought these incredible mums at Wegman's ( of course) for only $4.99!!
So I am re- working the Fall decorations in front of our house.....
I will be posting a late Fall update on our front porch and yard decorations in a future post....
Last week, I worked all week long doing Fall House Cleaning and decorating in our bedroom for Christmas, which is as large as our Living Room, 16' x 20'!!
I want to give you a sneak peak of my Labors......
Joe's Pittsburgh corner......
Joe's happy with it.....
I felt sorry for Joe since he only has one corner in our entire house and since this Wilkes Barre Scranton Pens throw is blue, which was the original colors of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and it matches our bedroom......
I added it to our Antique bed which was Joe's Great Grandfather's.......
And I put up and decorated what I call my Victorian Lady Tree.....
Yes, I now have the upstairs hall way, the bathroom and our bed room cleaned and decorated for Christmas!!
This week, I am working on the Sitting Room upstairs.....
Starting November 1st, I will start posting over on my Christmas Blog, A Debbie- Dabble Christmas....
In my next post on this Blog, I will be sharing my Halloween Tree and Vignettes in our Dining Room.....
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

You did a great job with decorating the dining room and I love your theme. It's perfect for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteWitches brew? How divinely spooky! What a haven here -- and I especially love the spell books.
ReplyDeleteVery spooky! And cute! All at the same time.. . . I love the spell books. I just can't believe how much you do. You are a "Wonder Woman"> I can't wait to see Christmas unfold in your home. Hugs to you dear friend.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, your decorations always amaze. Spooky and cute! How long does it take you to decorte each rrom? Does Joe help? I can't believe the mums were $5. We need a Wegmans!!! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteWell they might suppose to be spooky but they are so cute too! GREAT JOB girl. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteYou are always so inventive! Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteYour Halloween decor is just amazing this year! I am not surprised to find out that you have got a lot of Christmas decorating done already.....I bet it was a lot easier this year with your new knee...lol! I haven't started yet, but I have made some notes and sketches for how I want to decorate for Christmas this year. My Grand daughter had her "reveal" party recently....I will be a great grandmother in January It's a girl, so we'll have 4 generations of girls then. hugs...
ReplyDeleteHi Deb: Another grand show for Halloween. I love your spell books and all the potions that go with them. Those mums are outstanding and I'm glad Joe has gotten a little slice of the pie. What a beautiful sky and thank you for your visit and kind comments. I am so sorry that I have taken so long to get back to you. I am still trying to play catch up after the power outage. That black and white ribbon with the red trim sounds pretty and something I would like if I can find it. I am not doing any Halloween decorations this year except the front door for trick or treats. But, I will let you in on a little secret that no one else knows. Watch for me next week and you might find something you like..Happy Thursday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteIt's always a delight to stop by at your blog and be blown away by your photos, Debbie.
