Patriotic Doll House, 2019

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I know that Memorial Day and July 4th have long passed but I wanted to share Nelson Crest all decked out in it's Patriotic finery for the Summer....
If you are not familiar with Nelson Crest, it is my Victorian Doll House that was built for me when I was 50 years old, completing my dream of having a Victorian doll house since I was a child.....
The story about Nelson Crest and the wonderful man who built her for me is on my side bar if you would like to read it....
Summer shrubbery is blooming in the yard......
The patriotic banners were made out of Patriotic crepe paper that I gathered together....
Stars are glued to the centers of the banners....
Trees in planters are on the balcony for the Summer......
I made the Patriotic wreath that hangs on the door of the second floor balcony.....

The flags are cupcake decorations.....
A wheelbarrow filled with flowers in the yard....
Fresh milk and eggs have recently been delivered......
Firecracker decorations were hung on the fretwork around the porch....
Toys are strewn about on the front steps.....
Flower pots on the front steps.....
Urns of flowers on the walkway......
More flags are tucked in the trees on each side of the porch.....
A flower bed in the side yard....
Flowering shrubs in the side yard....

Nelson Crest will remain decorated in it's Patriotic finery until the Fall when she will celebrate Halloween and turn into a slightly spookier house...
I hope you enjoyed seeing Nelson Crest celebrating her Patriotism......

And I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. How fun Debbie, so many cute touches and the 4th was celebrated in a big way in the 1800's. Sigh, I haven't been to my doll room since May10th---and I have no idea what they are all doing down there...alone. Kinda scary...LOL. Can't wait for your Haunted version later on IN FALL...but that made me think about it. Hugs, hope you are surviving the crazy weather! Sandi

  3. Debbie, Your doll house is beautiful. What fun you must have decorating and fussing with the little house. I always wanted a doll house, but never had one. But you show that dreams do come true. It is decorated beautifully just like your beautiful home is.

  7. Debby, It is always great to see Nelson Crest decked out for a holiday! I used to decorate mine for the holidays when my kids were litte (granddaughter is 13! now). My love for minis is even greater than my love for vintage treasures--so that is saying a lot! Hope your TKR recovery is going well!

    1. Kathy,
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I am feeling better each day...more like myself! I just wish the heat and humidity would subside because of the swelling it causes...I hope you are having a good week!!
      Hugs,
      Debbie
