In my last post, I shared how I did on my June Goals and what my Monthly Goals for July are....
Thanks so much, Marsha!!
And Thanks
again to Andrea, over at The Cottage Market, for also choosing my blog post,
Patriotic Nelson Crest and Michael's Online Haul, as one of her
features from last week's A Morning Cup of Joe Link Party!!!

Thank you once again, Andrea!!
Please stop by and link up your blog posts to these charming parties!!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...
Since it is SATURDAY, it is time for what I have been up to this past week and that is going to be what this post is about!!!
Saint Maria Goretti Feast Day Celebration....
First, we celebrated the Feast Day of our Patron Saint at
St. Maria Goretti Parish last Sunday with the Community Group, which I belong to, serving breakfast after both masses on Sunday morning and ice cream after the 11 am mass....
Water, juice, coffee and tea....
This was a Sam's Club breakfast tray....
We partnered with a parishioner, Susan, who owns The Front Porch Bake Shop, for some of our goodies.....
Susan made the chocolate chip cookies, coffee crumb cake and almond scones.......
And butter, cream cheese and bagels from the local bakery, Bakery Delite.....
We had a great turnout after both Masses....
After the 11 am Mass, Susan, who started her business during the pandemic, selling baked goods off her front porch, also made these amazing cup cakes.....
True works of art if you ask me!!
People were raving about her baked goods so we will be using her talents for our monthly Sunday breakfasts and she is very generous, giving us a 50% discount!!!
Her cupcakes went well with the ice cream.....
That is my friend Michele, one of the parish secretaries.....
A great time was had by all......
A Patriotic Tablescape
We ended up celebrating America 250 on Wednesday as my twin granddaughters had their 2 1/2 year Dr.'s Appointment on Tuesday....
All is well and they are doing fine!
Again, I set a very simple tablescape....
I started off with a Patriotic tablecloth, with dogs on it, that my late husband Joe bought because of our grand pups Faye and Azumi!
Patriotic Star plates, that were gifted to me by my late neighbor Anne Marie and napkins....
Crystal glasses, gifted to me by my next door neighbor's, and red handled flatware that Joe bought in Wegman's...
I put our Patriotic dessert plates, bought in Ollie's last year, for my twin granddaughters....

Simple center piece.....
A star place mat in the center of the table...
A branch tree, bought in Ollie's, decorated with fairy lights and red and blue ornaments and Joe's candle from a special All Soul's Day Mass, that I burn for every family Holiday dinner.....

This is to remember that he is always with us, watching over us all....
A Small Project...
I bought these vinyl picture frames that have magnets on the back of them online in Michael's and picked them up at the store last week....
This is what I wanted them for......
I created a picture gallery on my fridge, using pictures I already had and printing ones off my computer!!
When the twins come, they love to look at the pictures and other items that I have displayed on the fridge which were held on with small individual magnets....
The twins also love to take them off the fridge and show them to the pups , Uncle Joey, etc....
Now everything is in frames that can be easily removed and placed back on....
The center pic is of my youngest great niece Carly , who will be a Senior in High School in September., and all our past and present family dogs.......
The twins with Mimi and G Pop....
The twins wearing Pittsburgh Pens Onesies that Joe bought for them but never got to see them wear them....
More family pictures....
Joe's Pittsburgh Pens magnets that he had on our car....
Family America 250 Celebration Dinner
The twins, Liliana Rose and Gianna Skye were wearing cute Patriotic Red , White and Bluey skirt sets...

They love Bluey!!
Notice their hair is parted differently and one has red socks on and the other has white ones on so Uncle Joey and Mimi can tell them apart!!
Thank you, Danielle!!
Danielle and Gigi
Lily and Jim....
Lily had gone and taken the big bear from under my Patriotic Tree in the Living Room....
Time to explore Mimi's house a bit.....
Look what the girls went right to.....
Jim telling them who the pictures were of....
They loved looking at all the new pictures on the fridge and they were able to take them off and rearrange them....
Then it was time for some corn on the cob.....
And chocolate chip cookies!
Jim and Gigi
Lily diving right into the corn on the cob....
And Azumi!!

Uncle Joey, relaxing after eating too much!!
Uncle Joey and Gigi

This happens all the time as soon as Uncle Joey gets up out of his chair.....
They love to tease Uncle Joey by crawling up in his chair!!
LOL!
Gigi
The girls are adorable, and growing up so fast. Awesome job done to cut that tree down, wow, it sure was close to the fenc eline. You will certainly notice a change in that part of you garden. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteGood morning -- What a great family gathering you had -- looks like everyone had a fun time. Gigi and Lily are the image of their mother -- and how nice their hair was parted differently and they wore different colored socks so you could tell them apart -- they are indeed identical. All the items on the refrigerator could keep them busy for a long time!! Glad to see the tree project was taken care of -- hope your plants enjoy the new light!! Enjoy your weekend.
