I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

  1. You have indeed been busy -- looks like you did most of the things on your to-do list. All that food for your family gathering looks yummy -- I look forward to the pictures on Saturday. Having a tree that shades your yard suddenly gone makes a huge difference -- I had plants that needed shade suddenly exposed to way too much sun so had to be removed. Enjoy the rest of your week.

    2. Patty,
I did get a lot done on my To Do List....I am glad that I still have shade in my yard from the other trees behind me and at least I will not have all the leaves in the Fall in my yard as most of the came from that tree that fell down...
      Hugs,
      Deb

  3. It's been down right hot outside! I completely. understand stopping (cleaning) when it is so hot. We live in an old farm hours. Downstairs is all remodeled, lovely and air conditioned. Not the upstairs. One of the rooms, our guest room has a window unit. It's only turned on when we have someone (daughter's family) over. It's a big room. Even with it being hot, you were able to get much accomplished. Good for you!
    Have a fun weekend.
    All the best.

  4. That tree coming down certainly made a difference - I love how bright and happy your yard looks. I'm very impressed that you're blogging 3X a week - I'm sticking with my Monday posts as I don't do enough to fill up any more than that! Good that you're setting yourself goals and lists to tick off - that always gives such a sense of accomplishment.

  6. You had a great much of success with your goals - good for you! I had a 12 item to do list and have about 10 things crossed off. My supply/sewing/decorating closet is a work in progress - but I was ruthless about things I was not using and took 3 boxes to donate! I had two totes with "Patriotic/4th of July" decor and decided if I did not use something this year, it was GOING. I got everything I used into one tote and hope that others will enjoy what I donated. Now have sunflowers everywhere, but the next big goal is to wear down my "Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving" totes to just 2 !!! Good luck with your goals for July and enjoy the sunshine in your back yard!
