And now for a few Personal Notes...
It has been horribly hot and humid here so I have really not been cooking much because I am honestly not hungry in this terrible heat.....
Today, I am continuing my tour of the Kitchen decorated with Hens and Roos and Bees for early Summer.....
Today, I am sharing the Hutch and the area around it......
In my previous post, I shared my seasonal Kitchen Tree and the area to the left of the Hutch.....
The color theme of my Kitchen is yellow and red which does give it a bit of a French Country vibe....
I also decorate with a lot of antique and vintage Kitchen pieces that I have collected for many years....
The top of the Hutch.....
I bought this yellow pitcher in Gabes a few years ago...
The pepper shaker and egg cups are vintage...
I made the Bee sign...
That is a vintage yellow enamelware coffee pot....
I bought the chicken metal plate at a church flea market....
Top shelf.....
I used Dollar Tree Bee dinner plates....
A vintage glass canister filled with some vintage cookie cutters.....
The yellow rose vintage pitcher was a gift from my late friend Anne Marie.....
Along with the bee coasters.....
Bottom shelf.....

A vintage cherry pie plate.....

I bought the copper candle holder at a church flea market and placed with in a wood crate that I bough in Michael's many years back....
I glued a bunch of Easter eggs to an egg crate that I got when I bought eggs at the Grocery Store.....

The egg cups are also vintage....
The desk part of the Hutch.....
I decorated this area in a Summer Strawberry theme.....
I bought the quilted place mat at the now closed Country Folks store....

My son Jim made this for me in grade school...
I bought this plate in Gabes last year....
The strawberry florals are from Home Interiors....
The strawberry tea pot and tea and toast sets came from The Christmas Tree Shop and were also a gift from Anne Marie....
A strawberry scented battery operated candle inside of a vintage juice glass that was my late neighbor Elly's.....
I hung another vintage piece....a strawberry tray.....
I made the strawberries in this basket out of styrofoam eggs.....
Did you know that the Campbell's Company originally made preserves like strawberry preserves before they started to make soup and patented their incredible invention, the tin can!!
I learned this from an episode of the History Channel's "The Food That Built America"!
An incredibly interesting show!!
I also bought the strawberry salt and pepper shakers at Gabes last year.....
A personalized ornament my sister gifted me
I bought the strawberry dish in the back at a church flea market.....
A vintage milk glass lamp with strawberry florals......
And another vintage juice glass....
I also like to decorate under the desk area.....
I keep this copper lighted tree out year round....
The copper and the hen tray was bought at a church flea market....
A vintage mason jar filled with faux eggs.....

Hanging on the side of the Hutch is a vintage apron.....
On one of the shelves that my Dad made for me from scrap wood over 45 years ago....
I placed this hen egg basket on top of my antique green yellow ware bowl filled with wooden apples.....
I recently gave a fresh coat of paint to this vintage basket bought for $1 at a yard sale over 25 years ago.....
The Mr. Peanut bank pays homage to that....
