I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

Well, what have I been up to or gone to for the past week since it is Saturday again??/

Wednesday was my monthly Young at Heart Senior Social Club meeting....

We served red and white pizza for the local pizzeria, Grotto, which delivered it...

Cupcakes, brownies that a member made and grapes....

Our speaker for this month's meeting was member Bob, who did a presentation on Personal Safety Awareness...

Bob holds numerous certifications in Security, fire arms and worked for a local prison and probation office....

One important thing he stressed was to always be aware of your surroundings and the people who are in those surroundings....

One other thing I accomplished this week before the 90 degree heat with oppressive humidity hit NEPA, is that I FINALLY packed away all of Christmas in my upstairs Sitting Room...

It has been decorated for Christmas since October 2023....

After my husband became ill and passed away, I just could not get to the upstairs in 2024 and last year, it got hot so fast that I did not feel like going up in the attic to haul the tubs down....

I have some tweaking to do but it is now changed over to the Garden theme decor that I normally have in it....

A few sneak peeks....

You have no idea what a sense of accomplishment this is that I finally got this done...

Now what did I do with the 6 ft. Flocked Tree that I had in this room?????

Stay tuned....

Today, I am continuing with the tour of my Kitchen decorated for early Summer in a Hen, Roos and Bee theme.....

I will pick up where I left off in my last post.....

 Above the stove....

I bought this metal Kitchen sign in Dollar General a few years back...

The small counter area between the stove and the sink....

A Hens and Roos acrylic board...

We took out the window when we made the patio into another room, the Den....

I still treat it like a window though...

I hung a red and white checked valance I made from a tablecloth....

On each side, hanging on the cabinets....

A sign I made by gluing 2 signs together....

The tea cup chandy that I made....

Birdhouses hanging on the valances.....

2 Hen ornaments hanging from the chandy....

On the window sill....

The left side.....

I bought the "stores" in Michael's many years ago.....

 Another sign......

I bought the red towels online in Boscov's a few years back....

I left out the orange and white checked Kitchen mat after Easter....

 In the corner.....

The canisters came from Michael's many years ago...

 The wire tea cup.....

I added more eggs to this wreath.....

My Beverage Center....

Not decorated for any Holiday....

A bottle cap coffee sign that I bought on Amazon....

The vintage coffee mug, tin Tea canister and Lipton's Tea tin were my late neighbor Elly's.....

More vintage pieces.....

I still do drink Hot Cocoa at times in the Summer.....

I used a Dollar Tree Bee place mat on top of a red and white checked one.....

Bee bowls hold my coffee creamers....

A mug with my first name initial holds my sweeteners.....

A Dollar Tree vinyl place mat on the fridge....

Instant coffee in the glass container.....

I used the mugs my son Jim and DIL Danielle gifted us from Disney World.....

Another gifted mug and a bee mug from Dollar Tree.....

And this is where I am going to leave off for today.....
