Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have

And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

In my last post, I shared the Farewell Dinner that we held to say Good Bye to our Pastor, Father Alex, as he moved on to his new assignment....
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
Thanks so much to Andrea, over at the Cottage Market, for choosing my Blog Post, Americana Tree and More in the Den, as one of her features from last week's A Morning Cup of Joe Link Party!!
Thanks so much, Andrea!!
Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
Well, it is MONDAY so what have I bought lately????
Not much as I am trying to shop my own home for decor but I did pick up a few things....
I had a 15% off coupon for Ollies so I stopped in o see what I could find......
My glass rain gauge that I use out in my back yard was cracked up at the top and I wanted to replace it....
I found this for $8.99 plus 15 % off from the coupon, which was a LOT cheaper than the ones in Lowes!!
One in Lowe.s was $22.99 that had a red cardinal attached to it and it did not come with a holder!!
What I did was switch the old one into this one as I am using this one as more of a decorative piece....
And put the new one into the old holder out back....
We had storms roll through on Saturday that dropped an inch of rain in about a half hour.....
This was my little neighbor Usef, playing out in the rain.....
The problem was that I had to fill it at least twice a day because it was shooting all the water out because of the solar operated fountain that I bought from Amazon last year.....
I bought this planter, that also had a base to it that I removed.......
I did place a rock and a brick on top of the base of the rusty cupid bird bath because it did blow over with the 45 a mile an hour winds that we had on Saturday.....
The water now is not being depleted several times a day!!
I got out the base that went with the glass bowl and set it up in my neighbor's front yard...
The kids love it....
Did you know that Home Depot will deliver most items ordered online for FREE??????
With no type of membership?????
My problem is carrying heavy bags of mulch, potting mix, Ice Melt, etc. up the 13 steps from my parking lot in front of my row of townhouses.....
So I placed an order through Home Depot online and these 2 bags of Potting Mix were waiting on my front porch when I got up at 6:30 am.....
You pay a small fee of a few dollars for an exact time frame, otherwise, the window of delivery is from 6 am to 8 pm....
I did order a few more items, weather stripping and Rustoleum Clear Coat spray, that will be delivered tomorrow....
I have become quite the online shopper.....
Today, I am starting the tour of my Kitchen decorated for Early Summer in a bit of a French Country theme using Hens and Roos....
I also tossed in some Bee decor for good measure....
This is what I call the focal wall in my Kitchen as it is mainly just for decor and really serves no other purpose as far as cooking is concerned!!!
The color theme of my Kitchen is red and yellow so it does go well with Hens and Roos!!!
For today, I want to share the left side of the Hutch.....
On one of 2 shelves that my Dad made for me over 40 years ago from scrap lumber he had.....
Check out how he made the wood brackets for it!!
Vintage items are displayed on it....
" Bee Kind, Bee Happy, Bee You"
On a chalkboard that a former co worker passed on to me.....
I leave this wood rolling pin sign out year round....
A vintage loaf pan.....
I painted the inside of the bottles....
Last year, I decided to leave my Kitchen Tree up year round, making it easier than hauling it up the attic for a few months to only have to bring it back down again.....
I had to really think about how I was going to decorate this Tree in this theme for early Summer.....
So I pulled from what I had in my stash first.....
I made a topper bow out of yellow and white checked ribbon I had used in the Kitchen and then added a second red and white striped ribbon that I bought after Christmas on Clearance to it.....
I had red and yellow roses and other florals in my stash.....
I tucked those into the Tree.....
I also left the red berry garland on the Tree after it was decorated for Christmas, Winter and Easter......
I bought the metal Bees and the red Lady Bug in Dollar General a few years ago......
I had painted the wooden bees as part of another project and I repurposed them, using them as ornaments....
The Tree is a pathway Tree for outside with a black urn like base so I placed it in this antique crock......
I sort of get a bit upset when people call all my Seasonal Trees "Christmas Trees"....
Now honestly, does this Tree look like a Christmas Tree??????
NO!!!
It looks like a Summer Tree!!
I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY when I will be sharing how I decorated the Kitchen Hutch in this Early Summer theme.....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
