Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my last post, I shared how I decorated the top of my TV entertainment center......
Along with the area in front of it.....
And other area in the Living Room for the Patriotic Summer Holidays!!
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
THURSDAY is when I share food that I have eaten over the last week....
Last Friday, We got hoagies for Take Home Friday from Primo Hoagies
My son Joey got a cheese steak....
I also ordered this Loaded Potato Salad again from Sam's Club at a great price of $5.48 for 3 pounds!!
I add some seasonings to it and more mayo as it is super thick and so good!!
Today, I am finishing up my tour of the Living Room decorated for the Summer Patriotic Holidays and will be sharing the last area in the Living Room that I do decorate for Memorial Day and July 4th.....
And that is the entry to my townhouse.....
Starting with the front door.....
I hung a tinsel wreath bought many years ago in Dollar Tree and placed a plaque that I made in the center of it....
To the right when you walk in the front door , which is the only entrance I use......
On a vintage marble topped plant stand......
Is a vintage peach pitcher ( it does have the matching bowl but I did not use it)
I simply tucked flags and red, white and blue star picks into the existing floral arrangement.....
I wrapped a string of beads from Dollar Tree around it and placed it inside of another tinsel wreath.....
On the left side of the stairs are the lanterns that I decorate for every Holiday and Season......
I made bows out of several Patriotic ribbons for the top of the lanterns....
I bought this firecracker in Michael's a few years back and embellished it with vintage style tags bought on eBay.....
I tucked flags into the top of the lanterns, wrapped a flag around battery operated candles and added a few red and blue ornaments to the inside.....
This is a Patriotic Angel I made several years ago ......
Out of this!!
After the tornado of 2019 hit a furniture store in the shopping center next to me, they sold a lot of stuff and then gave some away for free....
I got 2 of these things....
First I painted it.....
Next, I glued white angel wings that are actually ornaments to the "body' of the Angel and an angel head I had in my stash..............
I enhanced the wings by adding a piece of blue deco mesh ribbon and red ribbon roses....
And made a bow out of trim, adding red ribbon roses to the ends........
I glued a piece of Patriotic ribbon to the "body" of the angel....
A Veteran's group, that my late husband Joe had donated to, had sent what was a Star that was removed from a flag before it was burned and a piece of paper explaining such....
This is the Star.......
And I glued the paper on with a spray adhesive......
And there you have it.....
My Patriotic Angel......
Made from whatever this might have been.......
I bought this at a church flea market.....
On the other side of the stairs......
I bought this beauty at a church flea market....
She is made from a craft broom......
Under her on the stairs.....
Another one of those tinsel wreaths....
Bird houses I bought in Gabes and added vintage style tags to.....
The corner by the stairs....
I decorate this chair for every Holiday and Season.....
An arrangement I did in a pot that I painted and added stickers to spell out "America" on...
These wood signs were only $1 each last year in Dollar General.....
By the stairs...
A hurricane candle holder....
I made this.....
And placed it inside the larger lantern underneath the chair.....
I used ornaments and other things I had to decorate it.....
A sweet Patriotic dog.....
The curio in the corner....
On top of the curio.....
I bought this plate in Salvation Army many years ago for 99 cents...
The hat is from Dollar Tree
Looking down the hallway to the Kitchen and Powder Room.....
I kept out these red heart tassels after Valentine's Day....
On the wall between the coat closet and the Powder Room.....
I framed a picture from a Thomas Kinkade calendar.....
Hanging on the mirror.....
A vintage basket that I did a floral arrangement in....
And that concludes my tour of the Living Room decorated for the Patriotic Summer Holidays.....
It will stay this way until the second week of July when I will change the Living Room over to my late Summer " Under the Sea" theme....
This year, I decided to decorate the buffet in my Dining Room in Patriotic decor for the first time so......
I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY when I will be sharing the Dining Room buffet in my next post.....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
