I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

For today's post, I will be sharing what I bought recently, since today is Monday......

After setting up my back patio, I decided to buy more faux flowers.....

I bought these from Amazon this year....

Hard to believe that there are 24 bushes in this package, isn't it????

2 different types.....

I wanted to use faux flowers in this birdcage.....

So I would not have to water them.....

This tiered plant stand always presented a problem when I would water the pots on it and I would frequently end up with water all over the place around it...

So I decided to go with pots with hens and chicks on the top 2 tiers, which require almost no watering and fill the pot on the bottom tier with faux flowers....

This way, I will not be doing any watering on the Patio itself.....

Now of course, I had left over flowers so I added some to pots that I already made up....

Like this one......

 And this one.....

This one.....

And this one.....

All out on the back patio.....

So now when I do go to buy my annuals next week, as we have frost predicted for tomorrow morning, I will only be planting them in pots out in the yard.....

I took the remaining red and yellow flowers and added them to a few pots on the front porch.....

Like the red ones in this pot....

You may remember that I shared these pot huggers and a Bee sign that I bought in Dollar Tree....

I added the Lady Bug one to this pot....

Along with one of the bee ones....

 I think they are adorable.....

I am hoping to repaint this milk can some time this Summer.....

 Over in the corner....

I hung the bee sign here....

I added some red flowers to this pot....

Along with a bee hugger....

And I added 2 bushes of red flowers to each side of this planter in front of the railing....

I also bought a new mailbox cover at Gabes for my faux mailbox that I keep garden tools in......

I also bought this fan that is rechargable......

I hope to be able to use this outside on my porch and patio so I can at least, hopefully, enjoy sitting out there despite the heat and humidity....

And lastly, I want to share this beautiful Mother's Day Sunset....

What a view from my front porch....

More on how I celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday and on my upcoming Family celebration in a future post....
