Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....
I
feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....
I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

In my last post, I shared how I set up this area of my back Patio for the Summer.....
And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
Today is THURSDAY and I know that means that I should be sharing what I cooked or what we got for Take Home in the past week....
Well, I have not eaten out nor have I cooked anything new that you have not already seen so we will be moving on.....
In this post, I will be sharing the other side of my back Patio, which I managed to get set up for the Summer already......
This is what this side of the Patio, to the right of the back door, looked like for the Winter when I covered the furniture up with tarps....
And now.....
This side is smaller in size than the other side....
I had bought 3 of these wreaths at a church flea market several years ago....
I added the Dollar Tree sign to this one.....
The other 2 wreaths were hung on the windows.....
The wind chime was one that was gifted to me by a friend after my husband Joe passed away and I hung it here to protect it from the elements as it is made of wood......
I went with dark brown chairs because you can't tell the dirt on them like I was able to when I had white wicker chairs here on the back Patio....
One of 2 storage chests where I stored most of my garden decor items in over the Winter....
My late neighbor Elly's baking rack that I turned into a potting stand.......
A watering can that rusted out on the bottom, filled with faux greenery....
Sand, potting soil and white rock stored in these vintage enamelware pots...
I extended the Patio out further into the yard using pavers as we have underground wiring....
I do have 2 dwarf spruces that I planted in pots many years ago on each side of the patio....
I have several pots here that will be planted with annuals when we will be safe from frost which is usually mid May....
It is set up very simply...
The small houses are from Dollar General....
The toad stool stakes were bought in Gabes last year...
And then sprayed them with a clear sealant..
I have had the large solar house, which I bought in Big Lot's, for several years....
All the Gnome figures were also bought in Dollar General for $1 each...
This is the second umbrella that I have on the Patio....
I will be planting impatiens in the pot inside the birdcage, which needs a fresh coat of paint, along with the one under the table.....
And that is how my Patio will look all Summer....
Since I went with all the water resistant faux flowers on the Patio, I will only have to buy a few annuals for some of the pots and vintage watering cans out in the yard...
I will be also looking to plant a few perennials in some of the larger pots....
So.......
I was able to get my front yard and back yard along with the Front Porch and back Patio all cleaned up and ready for the Summer....
Hopefully, this Summer will not be as hot and humid as the last few have been....
The last few months here in NEPA have actually been below average in temperature and we just had our coldest Winter in 30 years...
Long range forecast for May is also looking cooler which I love because we usually go right from Winter into Summer without having a Spring.....
Hopefully, I may get to sit outside and enjoy all my work!!
I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY when I will be sharing how I did with my Monthly Goals for April and what my Goals for May are....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

Hi Debbie -- What a nice place to sit and enjoy all your handiwork. Will Gigi and Lily be allowed to rearrange the gnome garden? When my kids were little, my mother lived in a modular home with a very small planting area in the front. The kids "landscaped" it for her -- each time we visited, they rearranged things -- great fun for them!! A neighbor stopped by yesterday while I was on my patio and I gave her a lot of cuttings from my aloe and spekboom plants -- they root easily and grow fast. Enjoy the rest of your day.
