I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Red Transferware Hutch with a Bit of Gingerbread for Heart Month, 2026

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared my 6 ft. pink Valentine's Tree in the Dining Room...

And a few more Heart Month decorations ....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

Well, since today is MONDAY, I am sharing what I bought recently....

My only Haul is from Ollie's as I had a 15% off coupon....

Ollie's is always a great place for books and florals....

I bought these books for Easter to gift to my twin Granddaughters....

They were all only $1.99 each!

I also bought 3 of these geranium bushes...

Also only $1.99 each!

I also bought this as it is a great filler flower for arrangements...

I might use it to spruce up a wreath I have....

Only $2.99

All of this, with a bag of cotton balls for $1.49, came out to a little over $16 with the 15 % taken off....

I finally received all the mini flags that I ordered about a week or so....

We are having a warm up where we will be in the 40's for most of this week so I was finally able to hang the flags outside....

We were supposed to get missed by the storm on the east coast last night.....

It was still snowing lightly when I first got up around 6 am....

 And later on.....

The VA Hospital is only a shadow above the roof tops...

It really is quite breathtaking when the snow coats the trees and shrubs....

And I wanted to share pictures of these cuties for Valentine's Day.....

My twin Granddaughters, Lily and Gigi....

Over recent years, I leave all my Winter and Valentine's Decor up til the end of February to honor my Dad who passed away suddenly from a massive Heart Attack in February, 39 years ago....

Today, I am going to be finishing up my tour of the Dining Room decorated for Heart Month and will be sharing the Hutch.....

 The top of the Hutch......

A bottle and heart I embellished.....

And a vintage Valentine.....

The huge Valentine card was my late neighbor Ellie's....

I left the red transferware in the Hutch after Christmas....

I hung 2 gingerbread ornaments on each side of the top of the Hutch....

And added the pieces that I could not remember where I put before Christmas.....

The top shelf.....

Victorian calling cards are on each side....

I placed white snowflakes in the Indiana Glass Colony Park Lane Clear Ruby Red Flash Vintage Glassware...

I placed 2 red bottle brush trees inside of a set of sugar and creamers....

I added a gingerbread house, 2 vintage milk glass goblets filled with baby's breath and 2 sweet figurines gifted to me by my late friend Anne Mare....

I always thought the pattern on their dresses looks like lips which is why I use them for Valentine's decorations.... ...

That was a mouthful , wasn't it????

The middle shelf.....

I found the soup tureen that I could not find before Christmas........

I moved 2 small gingerbread trees that I had in the Kitchen for Christmas on to this shelf.....

A small Valentine's book.....

The bottom shelf.....

I also moved the 2 larger gingerbread trees here too.....

I embellished this gingerbread house for Valentine's a few years ago....

The snowman and other figurine were also gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

Along with the "Joy" stone....

I like how it looks this year for Heart Month....

I hung 2 pink hearts from the drawer handles.....

On the vintage window divider between the Dining Room and the Living Room.....

 2 hearts that I made.....

In my last post, I shared what I did with one of the pieces that my sister passed on to me.....

And now...

I also "dabbled" with the smaller piece.....

I used a good amount of flowers in my stash up for these to pieces....

I am very happy with how it turned out.....

A pink mercury glass tree and candle holder.....

2 hearts that I embellished and a "Love Mail" sign...

An ode to my late husband Joe, who was a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service....

I bought the handmade pink topper on EBay many years ago...

 I also decorated the chandy....

I hung pink and gold heart ornaments from the chandy...

And that completes my tour of the Dining Room decorated for Heart Month.....

As I have mentioned before, I will be leaving my Winter/Heart Month decorations up until the end of February....

I still have a few more Winter decorations to share as Winter is really not over here in NEPA until April....

We have gotten some of our best snow storms and blizzards in March....

And there is a possibly of a Nor'Easter hitting us next weekend but time will tell....

Next week, we are supposed to go back down into the 30's again so it is going to take a bit of time for all the snow we have to melt which is a good thing as we do not want any flooding issues here...

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY as I continue my tour of the house decorated for Winter/Heart Month....

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

And try to find JOY in every single day!
