I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Cupid's Cafe & More Heart Month Decor in the Dining Room, 2026

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared the last area of my Living Room decorated for Winter/ Heart Month.....

And my Seasonal Living Room Tree decorated in red and gold ......

Along with the platform underneath it...

 And this table vignette....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

Today, being Thursday I am sharing a Mushroom Cheesesteak Hoagie from a local place, Serpico's, that my son Joey treated me to last Friday....

It was so filling that I could not finish all of it....

Not long ago, I bought these in Sam's Club and had then delivered along with a few other items.....

This is a 2 lb. container so I used half with Fettucini Alfredo and saved half of it....

To make this.....

This is the Knorr's Chicken Rice Bake but I used 2 packages of Herb and Butter Rice instead of Chicken Rice and Cream of Mushroom soup instead of 2 cans of  Cream of Chicken Soup.....

I used chicken bone broth, that I recently made, and cheddar cheese...

Had a totally different taste and was good....

Today, I am moving into the Dining Room where I decorated it with mostly Valentine's decor for Heart month....

My Winter/ Valentine's decor with stay up for the whole month of February so I am in no hurry to get it all posted before Valentine's Day.......

Today, I will be sharing both corners of the Dining Room by the Kitchen....

I set up "Cupid's Cafe" on the Dining Room buffet again this year.....

But first, to the left of the buffet.....

 On the wall....

I hung a Dollar Tree sign that I embellished over the picture...

 On the shelf.....

A Valentine's Angel that was gifted to me by a friend....

On the floor to the left....

 Something new...

You may remember that my sister passed this on to me recently....

I took apart 2 floral arrangements that I was not using.....

Adding a few other flowers from my stash.....

A large pink mercury glass ornament that I placed on top of a candle jar holder with a cherub on it....

I am happy with how this came out and I think this is the perfect lace for it....

I left the branch Tree in the Dining Room after Christmas....

I decorated it with Valentine's tags that I turned into ornaments....

I also hung hearts on the Tree....

I made these ornaments out of Sweetheart Candy boxes a few years back....

A red cardinal ornament....

Now let's get to Cupid's Cafe.....

I did change it up a bit this year...

In front of the Tree.....

A lollipop, pretzel ornament, a candy box ornament and a cup cake.....

 On a pedestal....

 A 2 tiered dish.....

 All faux goodies....

 The doughnuts are ornaments....

I ran off some graphics......

And placed them at the bottom of the picture.....

On the shelf, is a heart baking pan. that I dabbled with....

I was gifted the tea pot with a snowman on it from a friend.....

My late husband Joe bought the mugs on clearance...

I placed the mugs on small pedestals that have Gingerbread man heads as the base...

I bought the Cupid Cafe sign in Gabes....

All faux treats....

On the right side....

A gum ball  machine, filled with candy, that I made from clay pots...

More faux goodies....

Across from the buffet in the other corner by the Kitchen....

On the shelf on the side of the curio...

I left the funeral basket arrangement pretty much as is after Christmas and tucked in a few heart picks....

 On the marble table....

 On top of the curio....

 Valentine's slates....

A wreath I made....

On the cabinet that my Dad made for me to match Joe's grandmother's Dining Room furniture that we inherited....

I placed a Victorian style feather Tree in a vintage crystal compote bowl...

To the left....

I topped the Tree with a pink Snowflake ornament and a bow....

And decorated it with pink, gold and silver hearts....

To the right...
