-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my last post, I shared a A Big Project that involved a bit of purging and reorganizing........
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
If you follow me on Face Book , then you know what I have been up to...
I do post several times daily on my FB page so I do invite you to send me a Friend Request if you would like to see what I am up to on a daily basis.....
There is a link on my right side bar....
I hope to post here on my Blog my Living Room projects in a week or 2.....
Today, I will start to share my Late Spring/Early Summer Kitchen....
Yes, I am late with posting this because of the circumstances over the last 3 months with Joe's passing...
But better late than never and I wanted to share it before I change it over to my Late Summer/Early Fall Apple and Sunflower theme....
I am going to start with what I call my focal wall in the Kitchen....
This wall is strictly for decorating!!
I decorated the Kitchen in a Hens & Roos and Bumble Bee theme after Easter ( actually at the end of April after Joe passed away).....
My Kitchen has a Country French/Victorian /Vintage theme and is painted yellow and red....
We will start at the left side of the wall......
The red shelves on each side of the Hutch were made by my Dad, about 40 years ago, out of scrap wood that he had and I painted them red....
I display some of my vintage Kitchen items that I have collected over many years on them.......
Vintage canister set, glass canister filled with cookie cutters, scale, grinder and martini shaker filled with spaghetti noodles....
The sifter and apron to the left are also vintage....
The wall phone was my late neighbor Elly's and actually works if it was connected as a land line....
The Rise and Shine sign came from Big Lot's....
A chalkboard gifted to me by a former co-worker....
After Easter, I put my Kitchen Tree away and brought out this vintage yellow milk can filled with faux red and yellow roses and a set of lighted branches........
If you visit here often, you may already know the story of my Kitchen Hutch....
I found the top part, which is actually from a bedroom set of furniture , at a church flea market for $5.....
A week later, I found the desk, in the exact measurements that I needed to place the top on, at a yard sale, already stripped and ready to paint, for $10 ....
I painted them to match the Kitchen.......
The porcelain apple knobs on the drawers came from Lowe's.....
The top of the Hutch....
More vintage items are displayed on it...
On the shelves....
The top shelf....
Vintage pie plate and egg beater....
The rose pitcher was gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....
Another vintage glass canister filled with vintage cookie cutters.....
Bottom shelf....
A vintage green bowl and another egg beater....
The desk area.....
I decorated this area in a Bees and Strawberry theme....
The left side.....
I made the "strawberries" in the basket out of paper mache eggs.....
The sign was gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie.......
The strawberry tea set came from The Christmas Tree Shop.....
I used a Bee place mat from Dollar Tree on top of a red and white checked one....
The right side....
A vintage milk glass lamp with a painted yellow flower shade.....
The Bee and Lady Bug were bought in Dollar General last year.....
A vintage copper tray, metal picnic basket and mason jar....
The right side of the wall......
A vintage green yellow ware bowl filled with wooden apples, a vintage Roasted Nuts tin with a Mr. Peanut on top of it and another vintage canister set......
I bought the copper measuring cup set at a yard sale about 25 years ago....
Another vintage apron and this vintage sifter was my Mother's.....
A cinnamon scented broom.....
I moved a set of Pittsburgh Steeler knives that were gifted to Joe by my nieces into a Steeler's mug over on the counter and used this magnetic bar to display some vintage Kitchen utensils....
And I will end here at the doorway into the Den.....
A Home Interiors shelf hangs above the door and I have displayed vintage Hens and Roos along with 2 Vasoline Glass tumbers......
I love how my ambient lighting looks in the evening....
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated this wall for the Early Summer months along with seeing some of my vintage Kitchen pieces,,,,,,
I will pick up my Tour of my Early Summer Kitchen on MONDAY.....
In my next post on SATURDAY for Saturday Snippets, I will be sharing A few more Organizing Projects and Feast Day Festivities at my Church this past weekend!!!
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY!!!

I love the vintage kitchen gadgets, and they look so good where you have them displayed. I sent a friend request but it didn't go through as Facebook says I don't know you. I also sent a message with a link to my Facebook page, not sure if it went through as it said 404 forbidden. Good ole Facebook. Protecting our interests. We had about 70 mm of rain from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl as it moved through out area. We are officially waterlogged. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteLinda,
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by again!! I tried sending you a FB request but I do not know if it went through...We will not be getting rain until Wednesday so i will be out thee watering in 90 degree heat and tropical humidity...UGh!! Stay cool!!
Hugs,
Deb
I just love a red and yellow kitchen - so cheery!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your hutch! Everything looks perfect for summer! I also collect vintage kitchen items. My Mom had a lot so I have them now too! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour hutch tours are the best, Deb! I just love seeing how you mix the vintage with the new. Red and yellow pair so well together- just so cheerful!
ReplyDeleteI love that many of your items hold special memories for you. We have a similar wall at home that brings a smile to us every time we look at it.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, when it comes to blogging, the only timely rules are those you set for yourself. I can almost guarantee that people don't remember which days you post (at least I don't) but when I open my feed and see you there, I visit! And if you miss, I'm not worried -- unless it's for months and that's never happened. So keep the schedule if you require the structure but you never have to apologize to us for being "late." You're not. And the kitchen and hutch are looking great. So summery!
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful vintage pieces! I love hearing the stories behind them and your hutch (somehow I never knew that you just happened to find it in 2 different pieces at 2 different times-- it was certainly meant to be!).
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I love the grocery sign and the vintage kitchen tools! Thanks so much for sharing with us at SSPS, we sure appreciate it! Have a great week ahead, and hug those precious girls!
