I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared a Haul of mostly Fall/Halloween items....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Today, I will be finishing up the Tour of my Kitchen decorated for Early Summer in a Hens & Roos theme with a few Bee items thrown in.....

Today, I will be sharing 2 Bars in the Kitchen....

The first one is my Beverage Bar area....

In November of 2022, I created this area using things I had around the house....

And I have enjoyed decorating this corner of the Kitchen as a Beverage Bar for the different Holidays and Seasons ever since.....

I have my 3 cups of flavored coffee every morning and even an occasional cup of Hot Chocolate or Tea throughout the day even though it is Summer....

I used some vintage items and a few items from the Dollar Tree Bee Collection.....

Again, I kept my red and yellow color theme....

The coffee bottle cap like sign came from Amazon....

Instant coffee  is kept in the glass canister with more flavored coffee, flavored tea bags and hot cocoa mix stored in the small shelf that I painted in black chalkboard paint.......

I used a red and white checked place mat and topped it with a Bee place mat from Dollar Tree....

Bee bowls, also from Dollar Tree, are filled with my sweetner packets and flavored creamers....

The marble turntable was my late neighbor Elly's and the Bee coaster is one of a set of 4 that was gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

I hung a vinyl place mat from Dollar Tree on the side of the fridge....

The Cocoa, Lipton Tea canister and the other Tea canister are vintage.....

The mug with the straws. that I use for cans of Iced Tea. and peppermint sticks in it was gifted to me by my son Jim and DIL Danielle...

As were the Mickey and Minnie Mouse Dad and Mom mugs after their trip to Walt Disney World...

The Bee mugs are from Dollar Tree.....

And that is what the Beverage bar looks like for the Early/Summer......

The second Bar is the Counter Bar that I designed and had a friend of ours build for me many years ago.....

On a shelf, that runs along the top of the wall, is where I display my Collection of vintage Kitchen items along with some newer ones.....

On this side of the counter bar, are some vintage Laundry items including a wash board and a vintage Clorox bottle and iron....

I left up the evergreen garland after Christmas above the counter bar and just added a floral garland and a seed bag garland to it for the Summer....

I don't know why I didn't do this other years instead of taking down the evergreen garland where I could have just used it as a base.........

The Galley sign was bought for $5 when the local Red Lobster had a remodeling sale many years ago!!!

The lamp and the shutters were my late neighbor Elly's....

I used the shutters and a piece of stained glass to block the pass through into the Dining Room.....

Red mercury glass candle holders are topped with vintage yellow fiesta ware tea cups and saucers...

I used a quilted runner in yellow and a yellow and white checked place mat on the top of the counter bar......

I made the red and white checked cafe curtain from a tablecloth...

On the side of the counter bar.....

 More Bee items.....

And that finishes up the tour of the Kitchen decorated for Early/Summer....

The Kitchen has looked like this when I finally was able to take down the Easter decorations in early May after Joe passed away....

So soon, I will be changing it over for Late Summer and Early Fall to my Apple and Sunflower theme....

I do hope you enjoyed this little Tour.....

In my next post on THURSDAY, I will be doing a garden update both in the front and back yards as I cut back all the Missouri Primrose that finished blooming and did a bit of a clean up with some rearranging....

  3. Hi Debbie -- Bright and colorful kitchen -- love the bees. Three morning cups of coffee -- no wonder you get so much done -- you're hyped up on caffeine!! About the only thing our kitchens have in common is the French vanilla creamer -- yummy!! Looking forward to Thursday's post -- your flower are always gorgeous. Take care -- Patty

    1. Three cups of coffee is a drop in the bucket compared to the ENTIRE pot of coffee I used to drink in an 8 hour shift of night shift while I was working ....Also the flavored coffee I drink is decaf....Thanks for your visit...
      Hugs,
      Deb

  4. Hi Debbie, Your kitchen looks adorable. I love your beverage bar too! I always wanted a beverage bar, but I am the only one who enjoys coffee and I have cut back to one cup a day of instant. It is harder in the winter to stick to that and I often have another cup in the afternoon! My Grandma had that aluminum canister set with the tea canister too!

  6. Hi Debbie - I love how you manage to fit so much into such a small area and how homey and warm it feels. Those photos at the end of your post of your beautiful garden also made my heart happy. I can see why you'd enjoy sitting out there in the sunshine with a cuppa and a book - absolute bliss.
