Summer Fun Tree in the Craft Room

  Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Today, I will be sharing my Summer Fun Tree in my Craft Room.....

But first, a few Personal Updates......

Tuesday was a banner day.....

Not a cloud in the sky.....

And temps. in the low 60's which was perfect for working outside in the back.....

Joe moved everything off the patio into my small cottage garden back yard....

And then watched me work which he does so well!!

He did the same thing when I cleaned the front porch over the weekend.....

Do you see a pattern here or WHAT?????

Actually, I prefer he stays out of my way in these small spaces....

After sweeping the patio block and cleaning the back wall of the house, I rolled out the outdoor carpet that we bought at Ollies last year for under $30 because we had a coupon for 15% off a purchase.....

I think we got our money's worth because this patio is still exposed to the elements even with the awning over it.....

I then laid out the outdoor mats that we bought in Ocean State Job Lot last year....

Next, I cleaned the windows and everything that I left hanging on the back wall over the Winter.....

I hung the wreaths that I bought a few years back at a church Flea Market......

I cleaned all the patio furniture which was covered with a tarp over the Winter and then Joe brought up from our storage shed the 2 tubs of decor for the Patio.....

It is now Summer Ready minus the flowers planted.....

It is way too early to plant annuals here in NEPA.....

A perfect example of that is we are expected to have show showers tomorrow morning and we still have the threat of frost well into May so I usually do not plant my flowers until right before Memorial Day......

This is my Lilac Tree in our back yard with buds on it and some are even opening....

I hope the cold temps. that are predicted well into next week does not kill them off because this is way too early for lilacs to bloom around here.....

They are usually in bloom around Mother's Day in mid May......

On Wednesday, I was able to clean up this area of our small Cottage Garden back yard before the rain showers came.....

I straightened out the brick border and raked up the mulch......

You can see that my perennials are started to poke up through the mulch.....

Again, in keeping with my goal of not spending any money needlessly, we decided not to replenish the mulch this year...

I think it racked up nice and when the perennials start to grow, you really are not going to see much of the mulch....

We will see how it goes this Season and will maybe do it again next year, replenishing it every other year....

I hope to finish the yard on Saturday which is predicted to be a nice day....

Joe was lucky again.....

He scratched off a Win All so that meant $1000!!!!

We always share the wealth so Joe tipped the workers behind the counter at Valley Mart where he buys his tickets and of course, we always give Jim, Danielle and Joey a little something...

Today, I am continuing my Tour of my newly cleaned and reorganized Craft Room.....

In a previous post, I shared some projects I did in the Craft Room......

In this post, I will be sharing my Summer Fun Tree in the Craft Room......

This Tree stays up year round and brings me great joy when I am busy in this room.....

I always say that there is nothing like the glow of a lit and decorated Tree in the evening....

Hence the reason why I leave several Trees up year round!!!!

This is what the Tree looked like decorated for Christmas....

When I removed all the Christmas decorations for this Tree, it looked like this....

I then added roses from an old light set to the existing LED lights on the Tree....

Over the years, I made a few ornaments for this Tree for the Summer.....

I made these from card board coasters that Joe got in the mail for donating to Veteran's groups....

Several years ago, I made Bird Nest Tea Cup ornaments for this Tree.....

Click HERE to see that post....

A few days ago, I made 2 more ornaments.....

These were mini frames bought at Dollar Tree a few years back that I placed a Victorian Lady tag inside of, glued a card board back to it and embellished it......

Again, using things from my stash....

Let's take a closer look......

The Tree is topped with white feathers, flowers and a bow made from pink shimmery ribbon.....

Now when I think Summer, I think flowers, mainly Roses.....

There are several nice big pink roses tucked into the Tree along with the rose lights .....

I also think of Victorian women in beautiful hats attending a garden tea party

I made some Victorian Lady ornaments when I used to sell crafts.....

Tea Pot ornaments......

Last photo taken of my Mother before she passed away...

And the Tea Pot ornaments with my Dad holding each on of my sons when they were babies.....

When I think of a Summer Garden Tea Party, I also think of Cupcakes......

And who doesn't have Ice Cream Cones and Popsicles in the Summer.....

And Butterflies and Birds......

This Tree makes me smile every time I gaze upon it!!!

At the base of the Tree, 2 friends sitting on a bench.....

I made the Tree skirt......

And lit up in the evening.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated this Tree for Summer.....

Next up on my Tour of my Craft Room, I will share some storage ideas.....
