I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

A True Work of Art....My Craft Room Miniature Room Box

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Today, I will be sharing a very special gift that I received!!

In the beginning of the year, I  cleaned out all my craft supplies and passed some on to my FB friend Angela....

Angela wanted to show her appreciation and she did so by gifting me these beautiful creations of hers....

Click HERE if you missed the post....

On top of that, she insisted on creating one of her amazing Room Boxes for me, modeling it after my Craft Room

Angela used to participate in the Chicago International Miniature Show every year...

As a talented Miniaturist, her worked was featured in a Miniatures Magazine based in Madrid....

And her work was also featured in magazines from the UK and also here in America.....

Angela and I share similar tastes when it comes to decorating and she is a true Victorian Soul.....

She was so afraid that there would be damage when she shipped it to me but it was packaged so incredibly well that the box and contents were protected....

Again, Angela enclosed a beautiful card and handwritten note....

 Even her handwriting is elegant......

When I actually caught my first glimpse of the box after unpacking it, I teared up......

Even though Angela has sent me pictures showing her progress in creating it, pictures do not do this Masterpiece justice!!

I will , however, try to show you all the intricate details that were made by hand by Angela!!!!!

She papered the ceiling green because she knew that I painted the ceiling in my Craft Room green to match the walls....

She also painted a ceiling medallion pink like I did but was unable to hang a chandy because it came down too low and she did not want to obstruct the view of the other things in the room....

The wall paper border is also scalloped like the one I used in my own Craft Room...

A pink framed picture on the wall.....

Angela CREATED all these supplies by hand!!!!

And she used them on 2 shelves and a craft table in the room.....

These rugs were hand-woven

Angela has a lot of miniature rugs from Madrid Spain that she got when she used to do the Chicago International miniature show every year......

She would do that show and would get these beautiful rugs from a dealer from Madrid, Spain

Angela bought this sewing machine about 14 years ago when she used to do the Chicago International show in Chicago Illinois

This sewing machine is imported from Switzerland

You can see the rugs....

I have an area rug and Joe's Grandmother's antique Singer Sewing Machine in my Craft Room

All the hand crafted supplies

I am just going to let the pictures do the talking because frankly, I am speechless over all of this!!

To the side of the craft table.....

Is a beautifully dressed mannequin....

Angela used pure silk chiffon, pure silk tissue file, antique lace and tiny silk ribbon roses

Over on the other side.....

I have something similar hanging on the wall in my Craft Room

Another pink framed picture....

Another shelf filled with supplies.....

She made the lamp from a lampwork bead and a lily bead and jewelry findings and some miniature components that she had

Again, the sewing machine is so similar to Joe's Grandmother's....

Her attention to detail is amazing!!!!

You can not imagine how thrilled I am to have had this spectacular Room Box created for me!!!

As I mentioned before, the pictures do not do it the justice it deserves.....

It is absolutely breathtaking in person!!!!

There is a glass panel that slides down in front to protect it from dust.....

You can see the reflection of the flash from the camera in the glass in this picture...

For the Summer months, I will be displaying it here on top of the hutch in the Dining Room because I want it to be seen and enjoyed.....

Come September when I decorate the Dining Room for Halloween, I will move it up to the Craft Room and it will stay there until after the following Easter when the Dining Room will be void of any type of Holiday decorations.......

I recently took down and packed away Easter decorations in the Kitchen and Dining Room and I am still working on cleaning and putting the Dining Room back to "normal"....

And this is Angela, my dear friend who created this drop dead gorgeous Room Box for me!!!!

I am so Blessed to have her in my life!!

THANKS SO MUCH , ANGELA!!!

  12. Wow, Debbie!! I was so excited when I saw your post sharing the beautiful miniature sewing room created by your friend Angela. Her attention to detail is amazing!!! I liked her FB page and if my sister-in-law is still creating miniatures (she was making wooden primitive kitchen items a few years ago), I should introduce them.

Anyway, happy to feature your post at this past Wednesday's Share Your Style #302 for you and Angela,
    Hugs and Happy Mother's Day!
    Barb :)
