Gothic Halloween Dining Room Buffet and Curio, 2020

  Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Today, I am going to start to share with you how I decorated our Dining Room for Halloween......

But first , I just had to share once again this tree on the side of our row of townhouses by the woods.......

W ehad rain the other day and the sky was still a bit dark and cloudy but then the Sun came out and it would appear that it illuminated this beautiful maple tree......

Even the trees around seem to be glowing a bit......

The tree in the yard across from us is taking it's good old time to completely turn a brilliant shade of red and orange......

But Winter is on it's way.....

I saw this Woolly Bear Caterpillar in our yard the other day.......

Supposedly the longer the black areas on them are, the longer and colder the Winter is going to be......

I don't know, what do you think??????

Once the boys grew out of celebrating Halloween by Trick or Treating, I had pretty much given away a lot of my Halloween decorations and had intended to only decorate for Fall with just a bit of Halloween.......

That was until I met my dear friend, Anne Marie........

Now Anne Marie, loves to decorate for Halloween and she inspired me to decorate our Dining Room for Halloween.......

This is the LINK to a post that I did last year featuring a visit to our home from Anne Marie and what Anne Marie's home looked like last year decorated for Halloween.......

I do decorate the Dining Room in a Gothic Edgar Allen Poe theme for Halloween as I think it is befitting my very Victorian styled Dining Room..........

Today, I will be showing you the buffet and the small curio next to it.....

In the corner........

I hung an Edgar Allan Poe plaque bought in Target on Clearance by Joe over the picture.......

Next to it, hanging is a Halloween Tussie Mussie that my friend, Anne Marie, gifted me!!!

I hung a pair of Skeleton ornaments from the magnolia plaques......

A Jack O Lantern on the small shelf.....

On the floor by the side of the buffet........

A Witch with a silver spider web fabric dress.......

On the floor is a pumpkin and a sweet Bearington Bear Trick or Treater!!

I like to think of the buffet as a Witch's Potion Station.......

If there is such a thing!!!

My hurricane lamp, eerily fits in, doesn't it??????

A few years ago, I made my own potion bottles........

The books came from Michael's and Dollar Tree......

I placed a black spider web lace runner over the white one that is normally on the buffet.......

On top of a gold cake pedestal........

Is a Skull that I glamed up a bit after seeing something similar in Pier One a few years back...

Placed inside of an antique sterling silver Wedding Basket......

On the shelf.......

On a "Twisted BLack Twig" Tree is a Bat, a Crow and an Owl......

I printed and framed the "Twisted Twig" graphic......

More Potion Bottles that I made......

I also made the Book of Spells and Potions.......

Over on this side.......

In a crystal compote bowl..........

Is a silver mercury glass pumpkin........

Another Spell Book and Potion Bottles.........

A silver bony Hand holding a Skull..........

A few years back, I found this great Skeleton Candelabra with Bat Wings in Gabes for a mere $3.99!!!!

I placed battery operated candles in it......

The orange Spiders are from Dollar Tree......

Next to te buffet is a small curio........

On the shelf above the curio is a Jack O Lantern that Anne Marie gifted to me just last year.......

A Halloween Haunted House......

I added some orange trim and the ghosts to it......

Anne Marie also gifted me the Pumpkin Man and the sweet  Halloween children......

On the floor in front of the Curio......

A Pumpkin covered with the same black and silver spider web fabric as the Witch's dress......

A bottle of candy EYE Balls and a Witch's Boot.......

Joe bought this sign for $1.00 in Dollar General......

"Beware of Giant Spider".....

The giant black Spider sits on top of another silver mercury glass pumpkin........

The Witch's boot is actually an antique Victorian boot that I embellished......

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Gothic Halloween Buffet and Curio in the Dining Room......

In my next post, I will be sharing the rest of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween, including my Halloween Tree......

  2. I love the brew station on the buffet! What a terrific vignette. I may keep this in mind for a year or two - once these grandbabies can be trusted around nicer stuff. I really really like it! The black is so chic and the Victorian ambiance is just perfect.
