I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium

Welcome!!

In this post, I will be sharing one more post from the 3 day trip that Joe and our son, Joey, took to Pittsburgh in September......

But first, I want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Harvest Tea, from last week's Happiness Is Homemade Party!!
Thanks so much, Bev!!

And also Thanks to Marilyn, over at Marilyn's Treats, for featuring the same post,  Harvest Tea,
from last week's Over The Moon Party!!!
 Thanks so much, Marilyn!!!

Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!!

This post is brought to you by Joe and Joey......

But let me first say that yet another horrific Act of Violence has occurred, this time in Pittsburgh......

It is sad to even say that these type of things are becoming common in America and leads one to wonder is there no end to this senseless violence in sight???????

So I am asking you join me in sending Prayers for the victims and their families......

In my last post, I shared the day that they went to the Monongahela Incline, Point State Park and the Fort Pitt Museum.......
Click HERE if you missed that Post.......

They also visited the Pittsburgh Zoo and the PPG Aquarium.......

I will let the photos do most of the talking......

Tigers.......

Too cute.....

Pink Flamingos........

A Lion.......

A Leopard......

Not quite sure what this is......

Ostriches......

Elephants......

Giraffes........
This one was quite enamored with Joey.....
She followed him when he moved!!!
Sorry it is blurry but Joe said at times, it almost seemed she was smiling at Joey!!!!!  LOL!!!

A Koi pond......

Primates......

Look at these 2 Beauties!!

Okay, again I am not quite sure what these are......

Ant eaters....

Rhinos....
Joe said it was a beautiful Zoo that took advantage of the Pennsylvania Countryside in it's animal exhibits.....

And now the PPG Aquarium......
Sorry about Joe and Joey's reflections in the windows.....

 Blue Lobster.....

Joe's favorites,  The Penguins.......
I got a kick out of this picture because look at the little kids looking at Joey's hand in the water petting a string ray......

Polar Bears......

Seals....
And that completes the posts on Joe's 3 day trip to Pittsburgh.....

This is the 2nd year that they went and it was a great Father/Son trip for both of them!!

God willing they hope to be able to go back again next year......

I hope you will come back to visit because soon I will be linking over to my Christmas Blog,

  1. Great shots! My middle son is going as a red panda for halloween; those are his absolute favorite! They are so stinkin cute! (also the two photos just above the anteater are capybaras but I'm not sure what type of pig/warthog those are above them.)
