I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

What I Bought and What I Did With It!!!

 Welcome!!

Well, the 4th of July is over and so are my Summer Patriotic Decor posts......

I have been dying to show you some of my new Treasures!!!!

Because I have been doing a bit of Shopping!!!

I have recently become quite enamored with Dollar General!!

I love how you receive a coupon for $5.00 off $25 every time you visit and purchase something.....

No Rewards Program to sign up for, No certain amount to spend and No certain number of times visiting the store!

You get a coupon for $5 off $25 for the following week every time you visit and make a purchase!!

NO!! I am NOT receiving any compensation from Dollar General for doing this post.....

This is some of the things that I bought on one visit to the store......
Many of  these items are only $1.00!!

Some of these Fairy Garden items I used for myself and some I will be putting in a Fairy Garden Theme Basket that I will be making up for our Church Festival at the end of July!
You can see where I displayed them in my Fairy Garden Tubs......
These urns were perfect for my Doll House......
You can see where I displayed them.....
This Rooster is perfect for my Kitchen.......
These are so cute........
Here is where I put them out in the Patio......
On another trip to Dollar General, I bought these goodies.......
This darling Happy Camper birdhouse is now gracing our Patio.........
For now, I have it dressing up the air conditioner.....
And the cute Fairy Garden house has found a place in my Fairy Garden display in our Sitting Room......
Here is where I put the other Fairy Garden pieces in the Sitting Room............
 More sweet $1.00 items!!
I hung this cute Camper Wind Chime here.....
I placed the Gnome Pot Hanger here......
Next up is a few things that I bought at Dollar Tree.....
I bought these 2 Patriotic signs......
I shared how I displayed the for the 4th of July on our front porch.......
And I also bought these Patriotic Star picks........
I also displayed them for the 4th of July.......
I am not a fan of the new "Farmhouse" style........

I admire it in other people's houses but it is just not my style......

Hens and Roosters are about as much "Farmhouse" as I m going to get.......
I do have them in my Kitchen because to me, Hens and Roosters are more French Country than "Farmhouse"......
Speaking of Roosters in the Kitchen, I also went to Salvation Army.........

I found this metal plate.......
 For $1.99
It looks perfect here, I think, don't you??????
 And I also bought this.........
I was thrilled to find this because I have several other pieces from the Brian Baker Collection......
 It was $2.99........

I love the details on these pieces........
Here is where I hung it above the corner Curio........
I think the colors work well in my Living Room........

At Wegman's, I found these for 99 cents each on Clearance!.......
Aren't the embroidered flowers pretty??????

Since my Kitchen is red, I can always use a red plaid pot holder in my Kitchen......
These red plaid square place mats were on Clearance for $1.42 each!!!
And this place mat was marked down to $1.00 at Wegman's.....
Also at Wegman's, I bought this Garden sign........
It was not on Clearance but was the last one left........

Don't you love the sprinkler cut out????????
This saying, "Born to Garden, Forced to Work" is special to me because many years ago, my dear neighbor Elly, gifted me this Garden sign.......
In all these years, I have never come across anything with this saying on it so when I saw this Garden sign, I had to buy it!!!
 It was $9.99...

Here is where I hung it as I think the black looks better out on the front porch........
A new Tuesday Mornings opened up in an undamaged area of one of the Shopping Centers that were hit by the Tornado that narrowly missed our home in June........

I initially was not impressed with the prices until I found the Clearance section!!!!!!
These Fairy Garden items were actually not Clearance but 25 % off.......
I put the toad stool set in this Fairy Garden Tub........
These items were on Clearance for 80% off but when I brought them to the Check Out, they were marked down to 90% off!!!!!
 WHOA!!!!!!!

I could not resist these paper mache vintage styled eggs!!!!
Imagine an Easter basket filled with these!!

I fell in love with this sweet Bunny as soon as I saw her!!
The peach colors are perfect for my Living Room!!!
Do you see that original price of $79.99!!!!!
   YIKES!!!!!!

Here is the receipt.........
The Bunny was a mere $8.00 and the eggs were 30 - 40 cents each!!!!!

$17.67 for all I bought at Tuesday Mornings......

And this is where I am going to leave off for today.........

In my next post, I will be sharing more of my "New"Treasures that I recently bought.....
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  5. Wow Debbie, you really found some great stuff! I never go to Dollar General, but that coupon idea is really great. I try not to shop too much, because I don't need a thing. I save my shopping for finding thrift finds. I love the hunt! :) Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann
