Summer "Under the Sea" Tree, 2018

Welcome!!!!!

Today, I will be sharing my Late Summer "Under the Sea" Tree in the Living Room.......
But first, I want to Thank Kathy, over at A Delightsome Life , for featuring my post, New Treasures and Where I Put Them!, as one of the Top Viewed posts from last week's Home and Garden Link Party!!!
Thanks so much, Kathy!!

Please stop by and link up to this truly Delightsome Party!!!

Last year was the first year that I decorated my 6 foot white tree as an 'Under the Sea" Tree in our Living Room for the remainder of the Summer........
I have several decorated Trees in our home year round.......
This is how this Tree looked decorated for the Patriotic Summer Holidays of Memorial Day and  the 4th of July!!
i stripped down the Tree and started to decorate it in my "Under the Sea" theme a week after July 4th.......

Last year, I found these floral sprays that resembled sea weed to me in Dollar Tree.........
I tucked them into the top of the Tree......
And added a Bow made from white and aqua deco mesh ribbon that I made.......
I added garland that I made out of sparkly aqua deco mesh.........
Netting that I bought at Michael's.......
And rope that I got out of Joe's supplies in our storage room!!!!!
He had to go and buy more rope to have on hand!!!!

Last year, I made ornaments out of tons of shells that my dear neighbor, Elly, who recently passed away, collected from Miami Beach when she lived down there in the Winters........
Her sons were going to throw these shells out!!!!

I made these ornaments.......

I used the "Under the Sea" theme for my table at our church's annual Harvest Tea last October........
I made more ornaments to give as favors for my guests.......
Click HERE to read that post.......

When buying the materials to embellish the shell ornaments, I found aqua colored rhinestone trim so I added it to the ornaments that I already had made for my "Under the Sea' Tree.......
The trim was $1.00 a roll at Michael's!!!!

I also made these ornaments.......

And I also made these ornaments......

The wooden anchors and sea horses were bought on Amazon.......

You may also remember that I bought these Sea Horse ornaments after Christmas this past year........
I bought these in Walmart for $1.00 each!!
And I bought these in Bon Ton for $1.80 each!!!
I thought they would be perfect for my "Under the Sea" Tree!!!!
So here is this year's "Under the Sea" Tree......

I am going to let the pictures do the talking.......
I think the addition of the aqua Sea Horse ornaments that I bought after Christmas really added a pop of color to the Tree!!!
There are bags of star fish in Wegman's that I am going to have Joe pick up and I am going to make more star fish ornaments.........

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Late Summer "Under the Sea" Tree and I hope you will be able to take away some ideas ........
Even if you do not want to do a Summer Tree, you can still use ideas for the ornaments that I made for this tree for a Coastal Christmas Tree.......

This Tree will stay decorated like this until after Labor Day......

In my next post, I will be sharing the "Beach" underneath the Tree and the area around the Tree that I also decorated in an "Under the Sea" theme!!!!!
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  4. You sure do a good job decorating a tree. It would be a perfect coastal Christmastree. Great job making your own ornaments. You friend had quite a shell collection.

  5. I love nautical and I love, love, love this tree. I also picked up some great ideas on how to use some of the shells that I have collected through the years. Thank you for sharing your Under the Sea Tree on Over the Moon.
